Good morning all from a drizzly North Leicestershire. Last week we were sitting on a balcony, in brilliant sunshine overlooking a river.

Today we are waiting for the plumber, I have a singing lesson, we need to go to Aldi to stock up on wine and we are going to a neighbours for drinks this evening.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning from a very bright start to the day here on the east coast of Fife where I think it’s going to be quite warm.. I received a letter yesterday from the passport office which advised me to send 2 recent photos and £100 for a renewal passport. This will be getting done tomorrow when my minister friend will sign the back of these and then post it off. I’ll be going to Sicily after all.

Have a good day my friends keep safe wherever you are 🤫🤫

Good morning all. Dull, dry & breezy here in Sefton. Ah, just spotted a patch of blue. U3a this morning then a visit to our local retail park this afternoon. We have a list. I wonder if he'd notice if I slipped into TKMaxx - which is not on the list?
Wishing you all a pleasant day.

Morning all from a grey S E Essex.

I am a grumpy bunny, my knee gave way whilst pottering in my bedroom yesterday, cannot put any weight on it, swollen and sore 🥲. Will get the crutches out of garage so I can get down the road to my manicure appointment and butchers. Will have to drive though (automatic car and it’s my left knee)

Then I will have no excuse other than to catch up with admin and sort out Moonpig birthday cards and some online shopping.

Wishing everyone a good day 🙋‍♀️

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s grey and cloudy, hoping the sun shows up later
Gorgeous photos Ash sounds like a lovely day except for your knee - hope it improves a bit soon
I’ll be outside pottering in the garden this morning and then looking forward to a volunteering session this afternoon, they’re always enjoyable with lots of friendly faces
Safe travels home Pantglas please bring the sunshine back!
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Good morning from an overcast Cornwall, nice and cool. I suspect it'll be a day of Wimbledon and exercises until I get over the pain hump which this first week brings. The private hospital where I had the NHS op will ring today to check on me. I was amused to see that the opiate they sent me home with has a Tesco Pharmacy sticker on it as the hospital doesn't have an extensive pharmacy. I had visions of a Tesco delivery driver arriving at their front door. 😁

Good morning from s somerset, cooler and dry today

Nothing definite planned for today, a large organic order is arriving and will need to be stashed into the fridge plus I will be meal planning for my vegan visitors. My food nowadays seems to be mostly vegan/vegetarian so I now know what to make.

Have a good day

Ash the cathedral is beautiful.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 12° and looks windy. I'm hoping it stays dry as I have washing to hang out. Pantglas Morocco sounds idyllic. GrandMattie never mind. Today will be better.
Yesterday was a long day with both boys who were, in the main, well behaved. I was very tired by night time.
Today will be a rerun of yesterday. Swim school for dgs1 in the morning. Playing in the garden in the afternoon, if it stays dry. Yesterday we managed a walk to the swings too. Chorizo with gnocchi in tomato sauce for dinner. Have a good day all.

Good morning from a dreary looking Sarthe.

Belated birthday greetings to Bellasnana. I'm glad you hear from your DGD in America. I think we become more reflective as we get older, with reflections on different times in the past, particularly in relation to the changes as the younger generation grows up and memories of loved ones lost come to mind.

Yesterday, we had a most enjoyable day in Tours although I had to resort to a walking stick to support a grumpy knee and ankle. The weather was pleasant but not too hot and we enjoyed visiting the stunning cathedral, besides seeing many well preserved old buildings and beautiful parks.

A good day to all, especially Mizuna, recovering at home. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Good morning from a grey skies hillside in south Glos, where has the sunshine gone?
Yesterday I cleaned the living room windows inside and had a good tidy up while DH was out 😊
The windows and doors for the summerhouse arrived but won’t be installed for a couple of weeks because my lovely carpenter is away. Hopefully it will be finished by the end of the month!
Today I’m meeting a friend for coffee at the garden centre, I also need to get some aquatic compost for two lily plants that arrived yesterday.
Then I will enjoy watching the Tour de France, it’s the mountain stages today so looking forward to spectacular views.
Have a lovely day everyone 🌹

Good morning from a bright but grey mid Essex. An early start for me after another night sleeping in the armchair. I’m still having problems with my back and struggle to get out of my bed, so the armchair is easier. I’m going to get a recliner chair to make life more comfortable. I have a hearing check this morning then will visit a friend who has dementia.

I hope that you all have a good day, and that those suffering ill health will soon feel better.

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. It feels slightly cooler, but who knows.

It is the monthly WI coffee morning in the village coffee shop. It can be a hoot, but seriously it’s good to meet up with various ladies ranging from mid-40s to 98.

We are meeting old friends for lunch in a restaurant by the Thames. They are in their 80s and becoming rather frail.

This evening while OH is shooting targets I’ll pop round and see my friends whose son in law was killed in a tragic accident a month or so ago. They’ve finally had the funeral.

Have a good day everyone, especially those of you with difficulties and sorrow.

Good morning Mick and all from a dark Moroccan balcony where I’m up with sparrowfart to check on Portugal ⚽️performance in the shootout - a win so France next 🤬

Belated birthday greetings to Bella’sNana 🥂 and anyone else I may have missed over the weekend and hope those with worries, your own or loved ones, have an easier day 💐

Our last day in this lovely quiet hotel where the food has been delicious 😋, sunshine constant and drinks chilled and free flowing, although I’ve stayed on sparkling water for the last few days (Mr PG calls me a lightweight….😂)

I shall be glad to be home tomorrow in PG Towers, hope you’ve arranged some nice weather for me (I miss Lauranorderr living at the weatherbarn on Anglesey) or shall I bring some 🌞 in my carry on?😉

Bellasnana Tue 02-Jul-24 06:15:05

Good morning from a very windy, hot Malta.

Thanks so much to all of you who took the time to send such lovely birthday greetings yesterday. Your kindness made my day more special and I appreciate you all.💐

Today my lovely sister woukd have turned 72 but she has been gone for 18 years . I’m sad that she missed so much, especially her four grandchildren who never got to meet her.

I’m off to look after the boys. My last day before they start nursery. I will still be looking after them when needed but I’m going to miss being with them on a daily basis.

Had a long chat with DgD in the US yesterday. She was trying on bikinis as she’s off to her US Nana for a holiday.
She’s 13 now. dragonfly, sadly she doesn’t put me in her pocket any more. She’s so busy playing on two softball teams and various other commitments that we no longer have our long chats.😢

Wishing you all a good day☀️

Good morning everyone from a cloudy and very overcast Northampton, feeling chilly too, so closed the bathroom window.

Will spend the morning doing a few household jobs, need to finish cleaning the kitchen cupboards, a quick hoover around downstairs then take it upstairs - but will probably leave the hoovering up there till tomorrow.
If it stays dry will probably join my walking group after lunch.

A bit achy this morning, as I spent a couple of hours weeding yesterday afternoon. Need to weed the front driveway at some time too.

Wishing all who are poorly a speedy recovery and a good day ahead for all.

grandMattie Tue 02-Jul-24 06:09:09

Good morning from a hazy, mild Bristol. I hope that cold wind dies down today!

My chaps went off well fuelled by a full English breakfast. They had a good journey. Last heard of visiting “some castle” according to DGS - Caernarfon, I think. Snowdon today. Nice for DGS to have adult male company. He adores DS, who sometimes acts in loco parentis in the absence of his late father.

I had a rather disappointing day, nothing going especially well. Today will be better!

Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩
