Good morning Mick and all. A moment ago I was sitting in a patch of sunlight It's come to something when that's a fact worth mentioning!
I wonder if you all remember Hitchcock's film, The Birds? Well, I had my own version of that here yesterday. Two flocks of young starlings converged on my bird table - there must have been nigh on 100 of them and it was actually quite scary! There was nothing outside that was not perched upon by at least half a dozen squabbling birds and the whole patio just became a seething mass and was not in any way pleasant to look at! I love watching murmurations of starlings as moving clouds in the sky, but I've never experienced anything like that before. Obviously Hitchcock must have!
On a much more pleasant note, a gorgeous little yellowhammer, drooket after a rainshower, perched on my fence as it fluffed out its feathers. Just a fleeting moment, then he was gone, but so beautiful.
That was a frustrating day yesterday grandmattie. I hope today's not the same.
What a wonderful job for your son, Mizuna and I hope some of that wonderful Cornish sun shines co-operately as he works. I can imagine this part of your convalescence must be very frustrating for you so I hope it soon passes.
Today I'm off to Perth to take Dancing GD and her friend out to celebrate her degree achievement and to encourage her to keep dancing for goodness sake. According to DD, I won't have any joy as she has tried everything she can think of. Oh well I suppose many of us have gone down many a wrong path in our youth. Myself, I did three years of teacher training, absolutely loved the academic side of it, but only ever actually taught for two years. Regrets? Not a one. But probably not the right time to recount that today!
I hope you all enjoy your day, whatever it brings. ☀️☔⚡🌈🐦
