So why, when I get this screen up, and I click on the first subject, all about AIBU and the neighbours...
am I directed to "Mumsnet"?

Um.... those are all threads on Gransnet.

Were you 'directed' to Mumsnet? It looks as if the link will take you to the Gransnet Active page.

Thanks Baggs.
If I click on "Go To Gransnet Active", it's OK, but if I just click on the top subject, it goes to Mumsnet.
Strange.

Oh, I see. Well, Gransnet is a 'subset' of Mumsnet. That may explain it.

Yes, I just clicked on the top one as did Auntieflo and it took me to Mumsnet as well.

Baggs Sat 06-Jul-24 09:51:15

Odd though. I expect it was a blip. Computers are always doing weird things.

I've just scrolled through Gransnet AIBU list and didn't find that one so maybe it is a Mumsnet thread that someone has put in the wrong list.

I've just seen this post from Mollygo, under the thread about school plimsolls. So perhaps it isn't only just me that it happens to:-

I’m just wondering if GN and MN are getting mixed up. On my email “Daily” there’s been a few instances of titles that take me straight to Mumsnet.

Baggs Sat 06-Jul-24 09:58:33

Perhaps they're using AI that isn't very intelligent yet wink

When I reported a spam thread on GN I had a "thank you for letting us know" from Mumsnet

Mollygo Sat 06-Jul-24 10:07:15

Exactly that Auntieflo.
I wondered if it was just for me or only on iPhone.
I know they’re linked, but I was surprised GN were being consulted about plimsolls-though that’s more likely to be a familiar word to GNs.

Same here Auntieflo. This was using my I Pad.
