There are lots of things I love but at the moment I'm a bit obsessed with the Great Romance channel (52) where I can see lots of young, very handsome, men and wish I was back 40 years, but it's nice to dream. The stories are all sort of Jane Austen so I like them very much, and always a happy ending... They help me get through now that my husband, who is slowly losing his memories, is in a care home...

Thank you for this lovely post. All the things other posters have mentioned make me happy too. This post has made me happy too because I'm surrounded by people who need multiple foreign holidays to be happy, and they think I'm odd for not wanting that. I'm so glad there are so many people like me😃

My gorgeous family who I love so much and the knowledge that I’m loved back.
Seeing a rainbow
Birdsong, especially a skylark
Watching snow fall while sitting by our blazing log burner
Sitting under a palm tree on a comfy lounger on a beach with turquoise sea, cocktail in hand, probably won’t happen again, but so grateful to have been able to travel when we were young enough to enjoy the experience.

Really THICK toast - not the sorry examples you get in most cafes. About as thick as the average coaster!

My family-children grandchildren, sister and her family
Dogs-family ones or anyone else’s
Animals and the natural world
Christmas-the whole shebang!
My favourite music, to dance to or just listen and enjoy
A really good book about my favourite subjects
Beautiful poetry
A craft or bake that turns out well!
A great shopping trip!
The changing seasons and the unique joys each brings
Precious memories although they make me sad too
My faith which keeps me going
Above in no particular order!
Just thinking-aren’t I lucky to have so many joys in my life?!

My home, my family having enough food in my cupboards, my DH of course. But my garden, how I love my garden to be able to escape outside with my early morning cuppa. To feel soil on my hands and always being amazed how that teeny tiny seed becomes such a thing of beauty. I currently have sweet peas all over my home with their heady scent.

My husband and seeing my boys and their families. A cosy evening in watching tv. A good book and a garden mowed and weeded. Count my blessings everyday.

A purring cat makes me happy, as does the blackbird singing outside my window. These two don’t go together very well.
