Good morning from a dull, overcast hillside in south Glos, I hope it brightens up 🙏
Not a lot happened yesterday, I did get DH to dig out a big clump of peonies that stubbornly refuses to flower and discovered a pathetic scrawny rose bush that had been struggling to grow. I forked the soil over and added a bag of manure so hopefully that’ll boost the soil.
Today I will dig out the violets that take over everything and carry on titivating the border.
An electrician is coming to put a line into the summerhouse- it’s slowly progressing (the wonderful carpenter is fitting it in around his other commitments)
Have a lovely day 🌹

Good morning from a sunny Norfolk coast. The plan is the beach today. We caught lots of crabs yesterday!
Have a good day everyone 💐

Good morning all from a mixed (weatherwise) North Leicestershire. We have bright sun hidden by dark cards and rain drops on the the window.

We were making plans to go to Yorkshire to see one of DH's older brothers but, sadly, he died in the early hours of yesterday morning. He and his wife had children of similar ages to ours so we have spent lots of time with them all.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a blue sky South Yorkshire. My neighbour got me a box of tests yesterday and it is definitely covid☹️, so I’ve cancelled all my commitments this week, including a GP appointment I’ve waited a month for. No plans for today. I went to bed at 8.30 and was woken at 11.40 by my phone pinging. GS from Vancouver - “We’ve just landed Nan, it looks amazing!” That cheered me up!
Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning from another grey day in Bristol. The wind wa# fierce yesterday; would have dried my washing if I had taken it down because of drizzle (for a few minutes).
I had an extremely busy day yesterday. Other than washing, I baked chocolate biscuits, peanut butter cookies and a lemon drizzle cake, then made 16 pots of marmalade. I had a little sit down and lunch.
I got dressed for the 100th birthday party I was going to straight after the OAP film. It was “Darjeeling express”, bonkers and very American despite taking place in India. Rushed back to the flat to meet my friends going to the party.
It was utterly charming, attended mostly by the complex residents. Very little family as she had only one daughter who is a fervent Jehovah’s Witness as are two of he4 four sons. Two of the grandsons came with their wives, charming men. One is a lecturer in modern history in Cambridge, the other is a gardener, he was head Gardner at Sissinghurst also Scotney castle before moving to Cornwall and starting his own business.
The whole thing was charming.
Wiped out and very full - the nibbles were delicious - I came home, made myself a cup of tea and sat. In bed by 9pm!
Today, I’ve got to sort myself out for the little family holiday leaving tomorrow, the church singles group I have started and having my DGS for the night…
Have a gentle day. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from dry s somerset

Haircut early this morning and I will follow up with a walk around town

I solved a problem with sewing tricky zip yesterday. Instructions are bare minimum, no diagrams and small close writing. I sometimes leave it for hours and go back with new eyes.

DPD parcel is still missing, I am sad about that, it was crafting tools that my husband used, passed on by me to ds

Have a good day

Good morning from a brightish Torbay.

Thank you for the supportive comments yesterday regarding my exercise class which went better than anticipated. It was good to be back to see everyone again and discover what I could manage. Wearing the ankle brace helped - it won’t fit into most of my shoes or trainers.

Today I’ll be at Props this morning then to have my hair cut and coloured later at a different salon. Luckily, it’s within easy walking distance of my home. My previous stylist has moved into a business in town but I don’t relish travelling there, especially in the Winter.

Belated birthday happies to those I missed yesterday! 🍾🥂🎂🎁🎊

Have the best day you can, everyone! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Good morning all from a rather damp north Wales coast - it’d better buck up as I have washing to do…😡 and I refuse to use the dryer in summer months!

Belated birthday 🎂 greetings to Gingster, GG13 and Mr Jax (hope I haven’t missed anyone) and some fizz as well for anniversaries 🥂🤗

I’m with you Miss Marydoll on the puff, voluminous sleeves thing - I’ve had to alter the last three dresses/tops I bought in the sales, lopping a foot off to make them elbow length and making a pleat with a decorative button! God didn’t make me tall and willowy but he did make me nifty with a needle 🪡 and cotton!

Just remembered 🤦‍♀️ - my heart was broken on Sunday….Rufus Sewell has remarried 😥 and I hadn’t even known he was up for grabs girls 🤬

Good Morning Everyone,
Its dry but looking grey here in brackley at the moment .
Up to my usual bus trip hoping that there are not hold ups due to accidents and road restructuring.
Hoping to see those I know, whilst out before coming home for lunch .
Take Care,
Mick
