My two children grew up to be hard working and contributing quite a lot in taxes etc.
And now my grandchildren too.

People who have bred children need to remember that they are living upon the grace (eg taxes paid by) those who are child free.

I just cannot accept this statement.

Presumably biglouis, you at some point informed your own parents of their obligation to the child-free because they bred you?

Do you not understand that children are not simply a personal indulgence - they are a critical resource?

This comment has come back to haunt Vance .
Now Jennifer Aniston is responding to it . There's always some one ready with vindictive , spiteful and unnecessary insults .

At the bus stop , a crowd pushed my mother onto another lady .
"I'm so sorry I do beg your pardon ", said mum as the lady looked in pain .

Recently , I've had to make three trips to our local Council offices .
I don't know why , but the officer was indescribably rude and unpleasant to me .

“I love my three parents,” she added.

Particularly if they are in brat green NotSpaghetti. I can see a new fashion trend on the horizon.

I do hate these personal attacks but like the idea of the "Cat Lady" T shirts. I expect they will become quite popular.

I noticed in the paper this morning that Jennifer Aniston has come up with an epithet for JD Vance that will, hopefully, stick.

She is childless despite IVF and she has described Vance as as thick as a brick , a wonderfully alliterative phrase that rolls around the mouth and, with luck he will be stuck with it for the whole campaign.

Do you think Vance and Trump share the same brain cell, or do they have one each?

What would they say about Kamala if she'd had children by 3 different men, and had had sex with a porn star?

Truly vile. I bought a painting many years ago but an artists called Vance in Colorado. Never encountered that name since, made me jump. Viles.

It’s a sign of a desperate campaign to identify somebody’s marital status or them not having children as a reason not to vote for them. I think the republicans must be running scared.

It is not a shameful thing for a man or a woman to have a pet cat or to have a pet dog or to have no dogs. What is this world coming to?

I am all for freedom. Freedom for women to choose if they want to have children or if they don't want to have children. The choice is not a crime and the women are not criminals or shameful citizens for having babies, not having babies, or not being able to have babies. Everyone knows this, too!

At the moment of their conception it is extremely unlikely that the parents were actually thinking of the children, but rather of their own pleasure.

So in a very real sense the childfree are paying for others to f**k and have fun.

And retirees who have never had children need to remember that they are retiring upon benefits that are being funded by those who gave children to their societies (eg paying taxes).

Everyone knows where babies come from.

Dreadful comment. Some women choose to be childless, some desperate for a child but unable to have one. Others have children who shouldn't. I prefer some animals to people, Vance is one of those people..

Kamala actually has two stepchildren from her 2014 marriage, but that wasn't good enough, he wants women to do their biological duty and those who didn't were subject to 2021 remark,

Miserable old men who live on their own don’t seem to attract the vituperation that childless married or unmarried women do. I wonder why this is?

The fact is that if people stop having children, then as we age there will be no-one to keep the levers of industry and commerce ticking over, so to imply that the childfree are subsiding those with children, is a ridiculous argument. All those now working are somebodies children and they are paying our pensions.

At the end of the day we all form part of the fabric of society and, come what may, there will always be those who agree or disagree, those who do, and those who don't do, our people and not our people. Just wish that those in charge could get it together to make a better world for all of us. I've never known such division in all my years.
