Morning from South Lanarkshire where it’s cool and I think baubles rain is about to arrive.

Grandmabatty that fall sounds spectacular, I hope you didn’t get too big a fright along with all your injuries. It is so easy to do.

Enjoy your break Marydoll, the east seems to be where the summer is so good luck!

I can feel the the sun in your holiday Bellasnana, I am envious!

What a rubbish start to your grandson’s holiday RosiesMaw, and it must be a nightmare for the adults in charge too, I hope the rest of it is a happy experience for than all.

My adventure for the next week is having my Connel family’s Patterdale terrier for a week while they are on holiday. It’s a new experience for both of us. I let her sleep on my bed last night because I could see she was unsettled. She is a lot better this morning and I am shattered! Tea at 5am while she slumbered peacefully!

Wishing everyone a good day.😊

Good morning, it’s lovely and bright here in Co Armagh, but it’s forecast to be wet later
My new waterproof cushions have survived a sudden downpour yesterday evening , the rain was fair stottin aff the flagstones , as my Granda would have said !
I had just put the cushions on the chairs to admire them 🤣
Nothing planned for the day , but I’d better move and get outside while I can
Hoping all improves for those planning or on trips out and a pleasant day for everyone

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast.
I had a small pot cream toffee dessert last night and not long after, stomach ache and then vomiting😨 Also with too much info, rushes to the loo in the night. The date to eat was the 27th so not sure what was up with, being in the fridge etc….

What with the abscessed tooth on hold, I’m not enjoying this summer very much. I planned to have a nice walk in the sand dunes at the bottom of the road and a pop into town, but feel delicate.

Chat with guitarist/teacher DS yesterday, very nice. I think my DD has told him to keep a check on me😁. I’m invited to one of his sessions soon. Not my choice of music, but I’ll go for the company. Flying DD is finishing her annual exams and she’s always glad to get those out of the way.

Hope baubles makes a good recovery, thoughts to Grandmabatty and all with worries 🌺

luluaugust Fri 26-Jul-24 09:39:10

Grandmabatty Hope you are better soon, so glad you didn’t break anything.

Good morning all from a sunny but breezy Angus coast - the washing is on and will be hung out soon.
What do those protesters hope to achieve by creating chaos?! It certainly won't be sympathy for their cause, that's for sure.
I see the gremlin is still in the works, grandmattie and karma - I had a couple of days like that recently and it's so annoying and time-wasting.
Poor you Grandmabatty - I hope you're not feeling too stiff and sore today and that an easy day is on the cards for you flowers
Today is Dancing GD's Graduation Day which is being held in Twickenham, a world away from where it was achieved in Dundee - something to do with gaining recognition for the company which devised and developed the programme. So I'm looking forward to a facetime with her to see her in all her finery - and then loads of photos!
Apart from that, a quiet day in sunny Angus by the sea.
Have a good day everyone and I trust all travel will be gremlin-free - Mercury Retrograde certainly seems to be doing its stuff!

Good morning, Michael12!

It's 15C. here in little Appleby but with a nice chilliness about it!

I've had another really awful night with menopause and leg cramps, was doing a bowl full of washing up at 3:10am because the cramps were having me in agony! But I managed to nod off at about 3:30. I'm extremely tired and can hardly keep my eyes open here at work so it's lucky I'm self-employed with no boss watching me! BUT, somewhere between 10:15 to 30 hubby and I will close shop for an hour and go around to a local cafe for breakfasts as we do one day every month!

I've got a can of Monster Ultra here trying to get some energy in me! HA!

Our little cat was stood on the kitchen table this morning while I prepared her untamed tin of Tuck-in-Tuna with Duck and I asked ''could I please boop your snoot?!'' She actually leaned forward so I could!

Have a great day everyone!

Grandmabatty Fri 26-Jul-24 09:02:47

Ekwa my shoes let me down. They are old and comfortable but sadly past their best.

Bonnybanko Fri 26-Jul-24 08:54:07

Good morning my friends. It’s going to be another scorcher here on the east coast of fife.

I’m getting my outdoor bins sanitised this morning by a local company.
I’m just going to bask in the sun today and I’ll be wearing factor 50 sun cream,

I’ve still got tons of different cheeses left from my recent bbq. Guess what it’ll be for lunch?

Have a good day remember keep safe

harrigran Fri 26-Jul-24 08:45:09

Good morning from a sunny NE.
Yesterday I did four loads of washing, got it all dried and ironed by late afternoon and was then able to relax and watch TV.
Today I am going out to lunch with my friend, her DH will transport us.

A shame about disrupted travel arrangements, hope it all gets sorted. The protesters are a real nuisance.
Hope all poorly grans see some improvement today.

EkwaNimitee Fri 26-Jul-24 08:44:22

Good morning Mick and everyone from Carlisle. I got up to a gloriously sunny day, now it's pouring down! That's as forecast, sun and showers.
Usual routine day yesterday, a few chores, admin, brain training and reading. I had been planning a trip out then remembered a Tesco delivery was due.
I'm stuck in today too as the new parts are due to be fitted in the oven. I'll get on with some admin and then find more interesting things to do, there's plenty of choice. I'm hoping gardening will be possible at some point.

Rather an alarming episode for you Grandmabatty. I guess you know why it happened? Thankfully, you didn't break anything.

have a good day everyone.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 26-Jul-24 08:39:00

Morning from a sunny S E Essex 🌞

Off to the gym first thing, the 9yr old GS will do stuff with DH until I return.

Meeting friends for dinner this evening at an Italian restaurant we haven’t been to before, hopefully it will be good.

Liberty they showed the pink sheep on the news this morning.

Have a great day everyone 🙋‍♀️

Beechnut Fri 26-Jul-24 08:32:33

Good morning everyone from a very sunny Severnside.

Will you be sneaking out Marydoll?

I’m expecting a parcel today so I’ll potter and tidy up some admin while I wait. I’ll do the weekly shop and then plan some jobs for the weekend.

Have a good day all 🌞🌷

NannyJan53 Fri 26-Jul-24 08:29:41

Good morning from a bright and sunny Black Country.

Here at Mums as I stayed overnight, ready to go into town for the Memory Cafe. Usually a singer, with Tea/ Coffee, cake and biscuits!

Then a visit to shops for bit and bobs Mum needs. Then lunch! Phew.

MrJ had to be up early as we are having a new boiler fitted. Engineer said he will arrive between 7.30 and 9! MrJ usually doesn’t get up till around 8 am.

Wishing you all a pleasant day.

BlueSapphire Fri 26-Jul-24 08:28:51

Good morning everyone from a very bright and sunny 🌞Northampton.

Dance classes this morning as our teacher has recovered from Covid. Towels are in the washing machine so should have time to hang them out before I go. Then home and will have a gentle afternoon, as I was on my feet all day yesterday in Milton Keynes.

Returned my t-shirt to M&S, decided I didn't really like it at all, so swapped it for two completely different ones which I made sure I tried on for size. Had a mooch around the shops, lunch in John Lewis, and then went and looked at the air fryers, as I have decided I'd like a bigger one. I quite liked the Ninja Max Pro Air, which looks quite roomy.

Have a good Friday everyone.

Gala Fri 26-Jul-24 08:26:50

Just endured a week of dismal, damp (damper & very damp as the week progressed) & cool weather in Pembrokeshire. Going home today in glorious sunshine. Am nearly lost for words - although some rude ones came to mind. Luckily have been here on holiday with our 2 sons & their families so had 2 little rays of sunshine with us - our delightful granddaughters aged 4 & 6 who, despite the weather, have had a great week.
Will catch up with all the 'doings' when we get home. Wi-Fi very iffy here.

GrannySomerset Fri 26-Jul-24 08:19:34

Lots of cloud but a hopeful forecast so a good day ahead especially as DGD1 is arriving this afternoon to stay until Monday - such a treat! Meals planned and much chat anticipated plus a couple of little jobs lined up as well as helping with refreshments at a concert in church on. Sunday. Not a wild time but we will enjoy ourselves, I am sure.

Hope nurse baubles has a co-operative patient, that Maw’s family arrive successfully and that Grandmabatty has a better day than yesterday. So frightening that it is so easy to do so much damage.

Marydoll Fri 26-Jul-24 08:12:04

Are you sure about TKMax Marydoll?

I have a plan! 😉

Sorry to hear of your fall, GMB

Grammaretto Fri 26-Jul-24 08:10:47

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. It could turn out nice 🌞

I'm expecting a new volunteer Helper today. A NZ der.
I must prepare his room before my morning shift on the till at the store.

I did another silly thing . A..zon emailed to say my package had arrived. I looked everywhere as I was expecting a parcel, wrote back to say it hadn't but then realised it was the parcel I had posted directly to DGD for her birthday. It had arrived.
I can't undo this.
I had a tetanus injection yesterday for the dog bite which still hurts.

Sending get well messages to Grandmabatty

Are you sure about TKMax Marydoll?. Have a lovely weekend

Hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning from a sunny Suffolk after a night of rain.

I hope the campers at Latitude didn’t get too wet. The ground will soon dry up with this sun. It is like concrete around here so no photos this year of mud baths! Perhaps we’ll see some in the local newspaper of pink sheep.

I’m off to Woodbridge later this morning to meet a dear friend for a walk along the river and lunch. It is a convenient place to meet as she lives a few miles from Ipswich in the direction of Bury St Edmunds.

I hope there is sunshine in everyone’s day especially for those who are unwell or worrying about others.

Grandmabatty Fri 26-Jul-24 07:42:23

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 14°and cloudy. We had heavy rain last night. RosiesMaw what a disaster! I hope the rest of the journey is smooth. Mizuna how lovely for your dgs!
Yesterday I decided to walk to Aldi for a few things and, on the way, had a quite spectacular fall. A woman stopped her car to help and offered to go to the shop for me. I don't know this lady and I thanked her kindness, however I collected myself and limped home to inspect the damage. A very scraped elbow, a twisted back and a sore and swollen knee and a definite dent in my pride. I felt really foolish and annoyed at myself. Anyway I drove to Aldi, got what I needed. Later I told dd and within minutes, she and the boys appeared to make sure I was ok. I went to bed as I was out of sorts.
Bellasnana thank you for your concern. This morning I'm a bit sore but my knee isn't just as painful. I'm going to have an easy day though and rest. Have a good day all.

Gingster Fri 26-Jul-24 07:34:25

Good morning all from sunny Suffolk.
It’s good to see the sun again after yesterday’s dull, cool day.

I had book club last evening and only 4 of us were there, plus a husband who hadn’t read the book but was very chatty about the book he was reading.🙄. I’m not used to chatty men! 🙃. It was nice to see the other ladies though.

Today we have my two brothers, one nephew , one sister in law and a pooch arriving , just for the day, due to commitments at the weekend. We’ll walk to the local pub and have lunch there, back here for pud and a cuppa in the summerhouse. Lovely!

Only two more days until we return to Essex. Always mixed feelings.

Grandmabatty poor you! Rest up today.💐
Marydoll enjoy your trip.
Bellasnanna your holiday sounds wonderful.
RosiesMaw I hope the boys are now sorted and can enjoy their cycling holiday. 🤞. What an awful time for them.

Take care all 🌸

luluaugust Fri 26-Jul-24 07:29:21

Good morning from a sunny W Kent. Goodness what a lot of travel goings on this morning.
Glad your husband is now home baubles
I am off to the hairdressers later this morning and then a bit of shopping after.
Best wishes to all

kittylester Fri 26-Jul-24 07:28:22

Good morning all from a bright and warm North Leicestershire.

Today I have a trip to the butcher's and Waitrose to fit in round a singing lesson. I might (really ought!) do some ironing.

Had a lovely meet up with 2 local gners - hope we can do it again soon.

Have the best day possible everyone.

GrannyIvy Fri 26-Jul-24 07:18:40

Good morning from a sunny Cambridgeshire. The 10 & 5 year old GC slept over and littlest been awake since 6 am waking his sister at 6.30 am. Currently having a smoothie and milk shake in my bed with DH. No room for me so I guess time to get up😂 We have baking on the agenda this morning, Lego and playdoh plus a bit of den building. Mummy will collect after lunch. Such a treat to have them

Have a good day everyone 💐

brook2704 Fri 26-Jul-24 06:52:23

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s a bright and dry start to the day
Oh my goodness Rosiesmaw how awful and stressful for your GS and family. I hope things eventually get sorted ok and they can enjoy their cycling holiday
What a lovely birthday experience for your DGS mizuna definitely a good fisherman in the making!
DD1 and family arrived safely back in Cambridge yesterday, it seems very quiet here at home now. Today we’re off to Edinburgh for a quick meet up with DS and his partner who are there this weekend, Im really looking forward to seeing them both.
Pleased your DH is home now Baubles hope his recovery goes well
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐
