Good morning to you all. Weather looks like it will be very pleasant at least for a couple of days.

We have GD and GS today and tomorrow (separately, as they fight). GD is a delicate little flower who will be 6 right at the end of August. Her brother is 2 years and 8 months younger but it is apparent he is already immensely stronger than his sister which he loves to demonstrate. He doesn’t look much smaller either. Rugby tots can’t come soon enough.

We went to the big bike meet in our town on Saturday with thousands out. It was very loud and very noisy. Been a couple of times before but I don’t think I’ll bother again.

STOP PRESS Just got text from DD say both kids have gone down with a stomach bug, maybe noravirus so we won’t be have either of them today.

I hope your hand is better Granmeretto . I think I might have taken this matter further. Next time it might be a child injured. Grandmabatty I hope you are recovering from your tumble and it doesn’t impede caring for your GS’s.

Enjoy the 🌞 everyone.

Good morning everyone from a very bright and sunny 🌞 Northampton, another fine day ahead.

Spent most of yesterday reading in the garden, got the umbrella and a really comfy chair out as a change from sitting in the pergola area. Sprayed the weeds sprouting up between the paving and cleaned and refilled the.bird-bath. Also cleaned the outside table.

My brother phoned late afternoon while he was visiting my sister in her care home so that I could have a chat with her - she no longer has a phone as it was causing a lot of problems, as she would make random panicky phone calls, causing alarm. We just had a few minutes but it was good to hear her. She is still hankering to go home, but sadly that's no longer possible as she is no longer able to be independent and care for hersrlf.

Yoga first thing, and as the library is in the same building, I shall return my library book which I finished yesterday. Won't get another book out, as I have just started the one that DD gave me for my birthday. No real plans for the rest of the day apart from reading in the garden again.

Have a pleasant Monday everyone.

Good morning all from a very warm North Leicestershire.

Today, I have a hair appointment in town so I will pop into our M&S Food nearby to stock up before DD2 and co come for 2 weeks.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Morning all from West Oxfordshire.

It looks like a beautiful day outside.

Our cleaner is coming later. I have a Waitrose shop but I’ve also got two bags of things for the Charity shop.

OH is playing croquet with the U3A after lunch.

I will prepare an engage consult message for my GP. I have to send it at 7 am on Tuesday.

Have a good day.

Good morning everyone. It’s clear blue sky and sunshine her in mid Essex, I’m up early this morning, need to get plants in pots outside watered before I go to DD1’s for a week’s dog minding - hope she behaves! I’ll do a little cleaning for her this week, but as I won’t have my car I won’t be going far. I’m looking after Dd2’s elder daughter on Thursday, they live close by, otherwise a quiet week 🤞.
I hope it’s a good day for us all and that all doctors and dentists appointments go well.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Warm again!

How interesting to see a young plaice Mizuna Thanks for the photo.

I am booked on a Gaelic nature walk today. I wonder what we'll find.

Yesterday was very nice. I went to a different Quaker meeting where I met some new people. I worked in my pottery and enjoyed my garden.

The water buckets are dry and I have booked plasterers to make a new ceiling.

Hoping you all have a good day.

Good morning from south Glos where the sun’s shining!
I had a lovely quiet day yesterday, enjoying the sunshine and doing another few inches of my crochet throw.
I have the dentist first thing then another quiet day apart from housework.
DH is off to the hospital for an appointment then to DD’s for the rest of the week so time is all my own 😊 The dog and I will have some very early walks, which we both always enjoy, while the weather’s so hot.
I hope to start doing more watercolour painting this week, I haven’t done any for many weeks 🙄.
Have a pleasant day everyone 🌹

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Going to be warm again in South Yorkshire. At some stage today I have to make a trip into town to go to the bank, which will mean going on the bus as the tram - my preferred method of conveyance - isn’t working at our end at the moment. While I’m there I will look for some new shoes. There are so few good shoe shops here now.
Have a good day, folks.

Good morning from a bright, ☀️ sunny Bristol.
Early start today, I already up, dressed, fetched the paper and getting a full English ready for DS. He’s leaving at 0745 for LHR amid his flight back to India. Sad but unfortunately a regular occurrence!
Yesterday was quiet. DS arrived in the late afternoon and sat down to watch the olympics. I haven’t seen much yet.
I cooked him turkey and roast veggies for his dinner, followed by yummy chocolate fudge pudding and custard.
Not really planned today except for going to a WI quiz in Cleveden. Lots of bedding etc.,to wash - will dry quickly.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from s somerset, I am expecting wall to wall sunshine late

I had a lovely day yesterday, went on a 2 hour cycle ride and was back home by 9am. It was gorgeous. I pulled my sewing cabinet out and made a francli pocket bag, I will be using that bag tomorrow. Later I started a strong lined tote bag. I will finish that later today. I will make a few more for presents as they are so useful and wholesome. That old lady sewing machine chugs along, so steady, even when the fabric is thick, a joy to work with

Today I want to clean my fridge and will set roomba to work while I get dressed. My floors all need a wet wiping, I will be doing that when the sun is strong, it will help to cool my house and is not incredibly onerous

Have a good day

Good morning from Malta where it is going to be 38°C later.

Had a lovely visit from the boys and their parents yesterday. They played happily with two small watering cans and were fairly well soaked by the time they left! Littlest could be heard crying ‘Nana’ piteously as he was carried down the road to the car.

I’m about to get up and do the ironing but will put the a/c on as it’s already too hot for comfort.

Grandmabatty you had a busy day yesterday! Hope you have a good day with the boys today.

I’m hoping to find tennis to watch later as Rafa is playing Djokovic. I managed to watch yesterday for two sets then the tv coverage abruptly stopped so I had to follow the rest of the match watching the live score which wasn’t quite the same!

Wishing you all a good day.☀️

Good morning from Cornwall where it's sunny again. Neck fan all charged up and ready to go.

Will catch up with my two nephews on holiday here with their young families later today. It's always a bit poignant as their parents, my brother and his wife, died years before my nephews had met their partners and had children. My brother was an artist and one son has taken after him, which is lovely.

They, plus my sons and families, took the train westwards yesterday in the direction of St Ives. At Carbis Bay my fish-mad six-year-old grandson discovered this baby plaice in a rock pool, a very unusual find (duly returned to its cubby hole, not eaten 😁). Like my eldest son this lad can find the most unexpected things under rocks and in corners wherever there's salt water. 😄

Good morning Mick and all from Polmont where it's currently 13° and cloudy.
Yesterday was quietly busy with lots of jobs done. Shopping for food, cleaning, ironing etc. It was such a lovely day, I spent time in the garden. I put weedkiller on all the paths and the drive too. I visited dd who put the new car seat for dgs1 together in a trice. It needed strength which I don't have. In the afternoon I visited mum who was much the same. I spoke to the nurses about organising a wee party for her in a couple of weeks for her ninetieth birthday.
Today is early childcare day after a week off. It was a shock to my system waking early again. I will probably take the boys to soft play in the morning and then it'll be the garden in the afternoon. Dgs1 will inspect the peas, carrots and strawberries. There are quite a few ready for him to pick. Have a good day all.
