Good Morning Monday 27th July 2026
Angela Rayner is a scrounger, grifter and shameless hypocrite.
Good Morning Everyone,
The start of another warm day here in brackley this morning.
Today , I have a Wiltshire Farms meals delivery , hopefully early enough to get the bus to Bicester, and do my routine there.
Returning home for lunch and relax this afternoon .
Take Care,
Mick

Wonderful news from Urms !
Good morning everyone from Belfast
Sun is out beautiful morning. Didn't get very much sleep last night very warm.
Staying at home today work to do in the garden.
Summer house is getting cleaned today should have done it a long time ago.
Planted some beetroot seeds yesterday. I have used up those I planted. My favourite vegetable.
Tomatoes are still green. Hopefully they will get there!!!!
Have a lovely day everyone enjoy the sun!!!!

Just a little note for those commenting, the atrocity happened in Southport not Stockport.
Thank you
I have just checked my earlier post and it seems my iPad thinks it knows better than me, and put Stockport.
My sincere apologies 😘
Good morning Mick and all from a dull northwest coast. My thoughts today are with the bereaved and injured in the tragedy yesterday. It happened not very far from me and such a shocking incident.
My sister arrived in the afternoon and we are going out later, then my DS will travel over for a meal.
Thoughts to all.
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. The sun is shining.
I joined a Gaelic nature walk yesterday. The brambles dris berries smeuran were still small and green. But the Rowan caoran looked ripe.
Today will be gardening and paying bills. The roof has stopped leaking so I'll pay the roofer.
My helper will continue to box up the books.
So glad your ankle is better at last Ash
Sorry about your RA flare-up Marydoll rest up in the sunshine whenever you can.
Have a lovely day everyone.
Good Morning from a grey looking Lancs. Things can only get better, as the song says
Just a little note for those commenting, the atrocity happened in Southport not Stockport.
Good morning from a warm Oxfordshire a few clouds in the sky so it might be a cooler day than yesterday. Slept badly and was up at 5am, but it was nice and cool.
MrOops is giving the final coat of colour to the lean to shed, then we are off to buy some more tiles for the bathroom and pick up a few bits from the Lidl that is next door, I don’t go there so it will be as interesting as grocery shopping gets.
Apart from that an easy day in the garden with a book, dog will arrive later when it’s cool so a late dog walk will be nice.
Have a good day everyone, try to keep your cool!
Good morning all, and it's a glorious day here too - long may this last! I took was noticing all the ripening berries, in this instance on the rowan near my bedroom windows, and hoping they don't mean a long hard winter. Perish the thought - and we'll probably be perishing too 😉. This particular rowan self-seeded at the time we moved in here. Apparently in the past Rowan's were planted at all four corners of a property to keep the witches at bay, so I have four - three at the front and one at the back (probably how I managed to get in!!)
I'm glad you're all doing away fine in the heat 'down south' - our 20° up here on the Angus coast is plenty for me!
Tai chi this morning again. The thick stone walls of the old building are being pointed just now causing horrendous dust, and we're not supposed to open the windows - it's going to be a tad warm!
Take care everyone, enjoy your day and keep cool x
Good morning Mick and everyone from Carlisle. It may be a tad warmer but the skies are leaden! This is generally a forgotten corner of England for the weather forecasters. How often they skip over from the NW i.e Manchester etc to Scotland. I can assure you there is little sun and definitely no heatwave here!
I did for once put the washing outside but had to bring it in when a shower arrived plus a bird had 'christened' my knickers so a spot of handwashing is due.
Apart from the handwashing, there's a long list of little jobs to do but procrastination is king here! I have a talent for looking at said list and then going to have a read or waste time on my tablet.
One thing I really must do is go out and pick blackberries from the garden, they are ready here too and so are my peas. You can't beat a fresh pea straight from the garden.
Have a good day if possible everyone.
Good morning from a hot and sunny Suffolk. We are late this morning as I couldn’t get to sleep til late ( I usually fall asleep as soon as I get into bed). I couldn’t stop thinking about those poor families in Stockport whose children have been killed or critically injured.
As children we went on a summer holiday to Stockport and I remember the sea being a long way out from the beach. We stayed in a boarding house where the landlady cooked the food for your family that you took with you.
I don’t remember another family being there. I wonder if it was because some rationing was still in place? No one of my parents’ generation to ask now.
Back to today which will be another gentle one. Hope it is a good one for all.
Morning from a warm S Hants, due 30 today, we have our grandson today and tomorrow as my daughter and Imogen are off to Thorpe Park, oh, they’re here.
MrJ will take him to golf this morning, bbq tonight.
🦩🦩
Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where it is 15°C.
On Friday when I checked the brambles in the lane behind us, were abundant, but still very green.
I managed to do very little yesterday, Apart from doing a GMB and falling on the outside stairs. Overdoing it on Edinburgh has triggered an RA flare up and every joint in my body aches, with what feels like raging toothache. Grrrr!
My favourite sandals are now in the bin. They are not very old, I only bought them in Spain about twenty years ago!🤣
I had planned to drive up and pick up Babydoll's car seat, on which DS1 was fitting a new harness for us, because she is getting too big for her present one. I did not trust Mr MD for reasons I won't elaborate on.
However, I had to ask DH to take me, as I was in pain and couldn't concentrate.. He was more than willing, because it meant seeing his beloved Dollie.
My time was spent fruitfully, organising a Glesca Grannies WhatsApp chat to try and keep everyone in the loop. It resulted in one of my Granspals phoning me out of the blue. We spoke for one hour and fifteen minutes!!! No surprise there.🤣
If anyone is interested in joining us, please PM me.
Have a good day folks and enjoy all your bizziness. I need to go out for a few essentials, then a day of resting and getting back on an even keel.
I envy all those on here, who are so busy and active, my life is so limited and restricted now.
Baubles, I hope your DH continues to improve and good luck with the econsult, Llfl.
Good morning all and it’s going to be a hot one.
I’ll take Dd for blood tests and come back here for coffee . Little DGD can play or craft or do some puzzles.
I must get cakes for Bridge club this afternoon, as it was my birthday last week. Haven’t got time to make them 😉.
The foxes were making a racket all night, screaming and barking.🦊. Lots of cubs around.
Take care all and enjoy the warm weather 🌸
Good morning Mick and all from a very warm South Bucks.
I’m hosting a Rummikub session at my house today. I emailed my friends and said if it was too hot at 28 degrees today to come, I would understand their absence. They have all decided to attend. 🥵 I’ve a chocolate Swiss roll in the fridge which should go down well.
Another warm day is promised after a sticky night so after a supermarket shop to replenish stocks post DGD1’s visit I will probably indulge myself with some Olympic watching. I am taking advantage of more reliable weather to wash bed spreads and have the last one in the machine already so that will go on the line before I go out. I expect to live on salad for the next few days - too hot to cook (or eat) is my excuse. Hope we all have a good enough day and those of us with sunshine forecast can enjoy it.
Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s a sunny warm start to the day
We’ve DGD here so we’ll sort out breakfast then we’re dropping her off at her dads. Yesterday we all had a lovely day out at Dores beach on the south side of Loch Ness, it was a bit breezy but sunny and warm. Some brave ladies were wild swimming in the loch 🥶
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐
Good morning all from an overcast but very muggy Black country.
GM I feel tired just reading of your busy day.
Lovely to read Urms news.
Today I think we shall take ourselves to Worcester have a stroll by the river. When the weather is like this we hop on the bus and metro to the station and take a train ride out somewhere.
Have a great day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.
Good morning everyone from a very bright and sunny 🌞Northampton, not complaining about the weather!
After yoga yesterday spent most of the day out in the garden, but sitting in the shade. Got well stuck into my new book (a birthday present from DD).
Today a coffee morning with the neighbours, but different to our normal gathering. It will be hosted by our lovely neighbour whose wife died earlier this year. He wanted to hold one in her memory, so a very poignant morning, but there will be lots of happy memories. He has promised home-made cakes, as apparently he is a dab hand with the mixing bowl....
And then another afternoon to be spent reading in the garden.
Must get a bolognese out of the freezer for dinner.
Stay cool and enjoy the sunshine today.
Good morning from a warm muggy Cambridgeshire. It will be another hot one today! I am off to meet a friend at the local garden centre for breakfast/brunch. We had offices next door to each other for 12 years until I left in 2013. We meet every few months and always a lot to talk about.
Afternoon will be spent pottering on the garden and reading my book in the shade/sun dipping in and out. Then a bbq for evening meal.
Wishing a good day to all💐
Morning from a beautiful warm and sunny corner of S E Essex.
Busy start here bed changing and washing machine on. I have The Imp whilst DD is at work. I guess he will be splashing and playing in the garden most of the day.
The families of Stockport are in my prayers.
Good morning from a sunny W Kent. A drive this morning to a DF who has found herself looking after three small GC on various days during the summer holidays. She loves them all dearly but coming up 80 it is a bit much. We are going to grab a quiet hour and have a cup of tea and a catch up.
Later I will be sitting in the garden and reading.
Glad your ankle is improving Ash a sprain can be difficult to get rid of.
Enjoy the sun whilst it lasts
Good morning everyone from south Glos where there’s thin cloud but a very warm day is forecast.
I slept very badly so I’m glad I don’t have anything much to do today.
There’s loads of almost ripe blackberries here too Greyduster, it’s very early for them - I always think September is the month for picking them. I noticed that there are heavy crops of hawthorn berries too, perhaps a hard winter ahead?
Yesterday the dentist found I need a filling done 🙄, so booked for next Wednesday, not looking forward to that! DH went to DD’s so dog and I can do whatever we like this week. I have an online grocery shop first thing with lots of nice salad bits to look forward to.
I hope everything goes well for you all today 🌹
Good morning all from a sticky North Leicestershire.
Lots of bits and bobs to sort out here today.
Have the best day possible everyone.
