Good Morning Everyone,
The start of another warm day here in brackley this morning.
Today , I have a Wiltshire Farms meals delivery , hopefully early enough to get the bus to Bicester, and do my routine there.
Returning home for lunch and relax this afternoon .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from s somerset, wall to wall sunshine today

I have a dental appointment this morning, an hour car journey from here

I will lurk in my dark cooler cave when I get back, I have a good professional book to read and that is all I will do today, my meals are sorted

This evening I will pick blueberries, they are almost finished and the strawberries have taken over, I grow those in troughs off the ground

Have a good day

Good morning from a warm Torbay where we have pretty skies as the sun rises and a welcome gentle breeze.

Yesterday, I enjoyed the Move It Or Lose It Class and, by wearing an ankle brace, I only needed to sit down when required by the teacher. Dare I say that the ankle, which I sprained in Lerwick in May, is improving at last?

I hope the week has started well for everyone and those who are travelling have safe journeys. 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Good morning from a bright Bristol.
DS has arrived safely home in Pune, after travelling for a long time, poor chap. He starts work tomorrow!
I had a fairly busy day - stripped the bed, washed bedding and remade it, walked to Waitrose and back (20 minutes each way), stopped at the library; sewed on the last bindings for edging on my quilt and watched a bit o& the Olympics.
In the early evening, I went to Cleveden to a WI quiz. It was a great deal nicer than the last one; there were fewer attendees, 6 instead of 4 to a table and no team appeared to be “professional”. Water was provided as well between each set of questions. Some very arcane questions… my table won, but it was the last thing we expected!
Outdoor tai chi today, but because of the half hour walk each way, I’m not sure I’ll go due to the heat.
Have a good day and enjoy the sunshine☀️. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is coming up in South Yorkshire. I had hopes of some rain last night but no. Yesterday’s long hot trip into town on the bus to go to our one and only bank turned out to be totally unnecessary and if I never go into the city centre again it will be too soon! Today, a cleaning day is on the cards and then I’ll go into the lane and pick some blackberries. There are quite a lot ripe and ready. Earlier this year, I think.
Have the best day you can folks.

Ladyleftfieldlover Tue 30-Jul-24 06:07:24

Morning all from what promises to be a hot West Oxfordshire.

I will be up before 7 am to send an Engage Consult message to my GP. I have one or two niggles and this is the best way to get in touch. I should get a call back and if she thinks I should be seen, an appointment today.

While I’m waiting for a call back, I will help OH put his latest batch of honey into jars - about 70 of them!

Have a good day.

Pantglas2 Tue 30-Jul-24 06:23:26

Good morning all from another bright day in north Wales where I’m about to partake of the chamberpot ☕️ and enjoy my morning mindfulness under the 🌳

Those blackberries are early Greyduster, it’ll be September here before I’m jamming 🫙or 🥧 making! All that honey LLFL…😋

A trot to Llandudno today on various errands and hopefully a pleasant afternoon reading in the garden will do me as I have friends over tomorrow evening for 🍹and nibbles - let’s hope the weather lasts 🤞

Take care on your travels everyone and may you all have reason to smile 😊 x

Grandmabatty Tue 30-Jul-24 06:34:21

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 13° and clear. Greyduster like Pantglas bramble picking would be September here too. Ash that's good news about your ankle holding up to exercise.
Yesterday was a busy day with the boys. Soft play was a very good idea because they ran and climbed for an hour and a half then home. In the late afternoon we went into the garden and they didn't want to go home. I went to bed extremely early.
Today we might go to the park early on. Then it will be a day in the garden. If I can find it, I'll bring out the paddling pool. I bought it last year and it hasn't been out of the box. Have a good day all.

Bonnybanko Tue 30-Jul-24 06:34:36

Good morning everyone it’s to be another hot day here on the east coast of Fife the temperature is meant to be 53 - 69 degrees .
I’m looking forward to sitting in my garden today, I’ll be wearing lots of sun cream as I don’t want another basil cell carcinoma.
It’s a good job we’re a devolved nation otherwise our pensioners would have their winter heating allowance removed it’s a bloody disgrace .

Have a good day my friends as best you can

Bellasnana Tue 30-Jul-24 06:37:55

Good morning from Malta where it is already hot and we have got a power cut until 11.30. No joke in this weather.🥵

I shall probably go to the garden centre this morning as my outdoor areas look a bit sad. I know I will be condemning any plants I buy to death but hope they will last the summer at least.

Yesterday I had my nails done, cleaned my car and put petrol in before joining DD3 to collect the boys. They have settled down well and seem happy.

Had a chat with DD1 who has my beloved granddaughter (her niece) staying with her in DC. We were discussing DD2 (DGD’s mum) who has gone extremely thin. We are both worried about her.

Sorry to ramble on. I hope you have a good day and can enjoy the better weather while it lasts.☀️

Good morning from South Lanarkshire, I think we’re to have another warm day.

My strength and balance class seemed a little more difficult yesterday for some reason. I actually have some achy muscles today.

I’m doing a short shift at the charity shop as I don’t want to leave DH for too long yet although he is doing really well. His brother and wife are visiting this afternoon, I’m hoping for sunshine so we can have tea outside.

I’m glad your grandsons have settled at nursery
Bellasnana.

Wishing everyone a good day.

Good morning everyone from mid Essex where we have cloudless blue skies and sunshine again. It felt cool when I let the dog out just now, probably because it’s very warm indoors! The dog is quite unsettled still as the family are away, she will be better when she’s had a walk (with a dog walking lady). I’ll have a walk to get a paper and a few bits of shopping then settle down to watch some Olympics alternating with sitting in the sun. I’ll be wearing lots of sun cream.
Good luck to those with doctor and dentist appointments, hope all goes well for you. Hope everyone has a good day.

JudyBloom Tue 30-Jul-24 07:16:56

Good Morning Michael and everyone, it's going to be hot today. Keep cool and take care.

harrigran Tue 30-Jul-24 07:17:51

Good morning from a dry NE where the sun is just appearing.
I have had a message from my window cleaner to say he is coming today, I hope it is first thing as my friend is taking me shopping this morning.
Sister visited yesterday, we shared a pot of tea and had a chat, she is way more mobile than me and she is 83.
Have a good day.

kittylester Tue 30-Jul-24 07:19:55

Good morning all from a sticky North Leicestershire.

Lots of bits and bobs to sort out here today.

Have the best day possible everyone.

RosesandLilac Tue 30-Jul-24 07:23:50

Good morning everyone from south Glos where there’s thin cloud but a very warm day is forecast.
I slept very badly so I’m glad I don’t have anything much to do today.
There’s loads of almost ripe blackberries here too Greyduster, it’s very early for them - I always think September is the month for picking them. I noticed that there are heavy crops of hawthorn berries too, perhaps a hard winter ahead?
Yesterday the dentist found I need a filling done 🙄, so booked for next Wednesday, not looking forward to that! DH went to DD’s so dog and I can do whatever we like this week. I have an online grocery shop first thing with lots of nice salad bits to look forward to.
I hope everything goes well for you all today 🌹

luluaugust Tue 30-Jul-24 07:37:17

Good morning from a sunny W Kent. A drive this morning to a DF who has found herself looking after three small GC on various days during the summer holidays. She loves them all dearly but coming up 80 it is a bit much. We are going to grab a quiet hour and have a cup of tea and a catch up.
Later I will be sitting in the garden and reading.
Glad your ankle is improving Ash a sprain can be difficult to get rid of.
Enjoy the sun whilst it lasts

GrannyGravy13 Tue 30-Jul-24 07:39:06

Morning from a beautiful warm and sunny corner of S E Essex.

Busy start here bed changing and washing machine on. I have The Imp whilst DD is at work. I guess he will be splashing and playing in the garden most of the day.

The families of Stockport are in my prayers.

GrannyIvy Tue 30-Jul-24 07:46:16

Good morning from a warm muggy Cambridgeshire. It will be another hot one today! I am off to meet a friend at the local garden centre for breakfast/brunch. We had offices next door to each other for 12 years until I left in 2013. We meet every few months and always a lot to talk about.

Afternoon will be spent pottering on the garden and reading my book in the shade/sun dipping in and out. Then a bbq for evening meal.

Wishing a good day to all💐

BlueSapphire Tue 30-Jul-24 07:49:23

Good morning everyone from a very bright and sunny 🌞Northampton, not complaining about the weather!

After yoga yesterday spent most of the day out in the garden, but sitting in the shade. Got well stuck into my new book (a birthday present from DD).

Today a coffee morning with the neighbours, but different to our normal gathering. It will be hosted by our lovely neighbour whose wife died earlier this year. He wanted to hold one in her memory, so a very poignant morning, but there will be lots of happy memories. He has promised home-made cakes, as apparently he is a dab hand with the mixing bowl....

And then another afternoon to be spent reading in the garden.
Must get a bolognese out of the freezer for dinner.

Stay cool and enjoy the sunshine today.

monk08 Tue 30-Jul-24 07:54:57

Good morning all from an overcast but very muggy Black country.
GM I feel tired just reading of your busy day.
Lovely to read Urms news.
Today I think we shall take ourselves to Worcester have a stroll by the river. When the weather is like this we hop on the bus and metro to the station and take a train ride out somewhere.
Have a great day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

brook2704 Tue 30-Jul-24 08:02:12

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s a sunny warm start to the day
We’ve DGD here so we’ll sort out breakfast then we’re dropping her off at her dads. Yesterday we all had a lovely day out at Dores beach on the south side of Loch Ness, it was a bit breezy but sunny and warm. Some brave ladies were wild swimming in the loch 🥶
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

GrannySomerset Tue 30-Jul-24 08:12:35

Another warm day is promised after a sticky night so after a supermarket shop to replenish stocks post DGD1’s visit I will probably indulge myself with some Olympic watching. I am taking advantage of more reliable weather to wash bed spreads and have the last one in the machine already so that will go on the line before I go out. I expect to live on salad for the next few days - too hot to cook (or eat) is my excuse. Hope we all have a good enough day and those of us with sunshine forecast can enjoy it.

NanKate Tue 30-Jul-24 08:15:46

Good morning Mick and all from a very warm South Bucks.

I’m hosting a Rummikub session at my house today. I emailed my friends and said if it was too hot at 28 degrees today to come, I would understand their absence. They have all decided to attend. 🥵 I’ve a chocolate Swiss roll in the fridge which should go down well.

Gingster Tue 30-Jul-24 08:17:08

Good morning all and it’s going to be a hot one.

I’ll take Dd for blood tests and come back here for coffee . Little DGD can play or craft or do some puzzles.
I must get cakes for Bridge club this afternoon, as it was my birthday last week. Haven’t got time to make them 😉.

The foxes were making a racket all night, screaming and barking.🦊. Lots of cubs around.

Take care all and enjoy the warm weather 🌸
