That chap who ran in when there were only a couple of policemen on scene - before the back-up arrived - was pretty brave.

I believe he helped the police to restrain the perpetrator, which must have been quite a frightening experience.

Yes Oreo I agree. Extremely brave, both the man who ran to help and the two ladies who ran the class, but I’m sure if faced with such a situation, most people wouldn’t think twice about trying to defend the little girls. I think a medal would be the last thing on their minds.

I shouldn’t think they want a medal and I expect most adults in that situation would try and get the children behind them or to disarm an attacker.People act in the spur of the moment and only later think about the danger.Yes, brave of course.Perhaps these sort of classes should now think about locking doors once they start.

This man is definitely a hero

The George cross is for acts of valour. Those ladies were undoubtedly very brave in the face of an astoundingly unexpected attack by a knife wielding madman (he must have been mad to do such a thing). They acted selflessly and correctly. Yes. Medals for them both.
