I liked some Tartex varieties - but some flavours were dull.

We used dog biscuits at school to learn to count I used to eat them as I was hungry.
Tartex vegetarian pate my first husband was a vegetarian there really wasn’t much choice then. I had to go to specialist shop for it. A tube like tomato paste or toothpaste it was tasteless and pointless but he liked it.

During pregnancy, I chewed and sucked elastic bands, especially the older, slightly shrivelled ones. Didn't swallow them, though!

Pica. Gnawing on lumps and coal and sometimes for a delicacy - bricks

I was pregnant and got strange cravings... Oddest was a hunk of fresh, crusty white bread spread thickly with unsalted butter, raspberry conserve and a layer of silver skin pickled onions. It was absolutely delicious. Well, at the time, anyway.

My friend at junior school used to eat raw sausages. 😱

I remember eating raw potato as a child, not sure why but I went through a phase of eating this. I also once had cat food on a sandwich, I didn’t know it was cat food, we were holidaying in Italy and I picked up a can of what I thought was tinned tuna from a small mini market and made sandwiches with it, one bite told that all was not well so I showed the tin to an Italian man sitting near us on a bench and he just shrugged and meowed pointing to a very small picture of a cat on the back of the can.
I also had a friend who would eat tippex.
