That is reassuring Soop. You are naughty, grannygravy! Christmas isn't happening here just yet.
I managed to clean the kitchen food cupboard and get all the stuff sorted. I didn't have a throw out too much. I also hoovered. That's me done now. I have very swollen glands and feel extremely nauseous. I'm making leek and potato soup so I'll have some of that later. A quiet night ahead

That’s reassuring news soop

My day hasn’t gone to plan (don’t know why I bother to plan anymore 🤣)

The man who was due to come this morning and clean my range messaged to say he was poorly and rearranged. DH suggested going to one of the nearby garden centres which has just opened its German Christmas Marketplace.

Came home with bedding plants, Christmas napkins, decorations, stocking fillers for GC and two bone China Christmas mugs 🎄

Decided to put bedding plants in pots, that way they can be moved if necessary.

Cleaned out two of the cupboards in the laundry, that was interesting, will not need any cleaning products for months, found stuff I cannot remember buying 🤷‍♀️

I am now reclining on the sofa, finger shopping (ordered Advent Calendars for GC, and a case of wine which was an offer to good to miss 🍷🥂)

Thinking of the YiaYia’s Mr.C naughtyneine and any other poorly kitchen friends I may have missed 🙋‍♀️

Many thanks for all your kind messages.

Mr Soop returned home with reassuring news. The san measuring his aortic aneurysm shows little sign of having enlarged since he was last scanned. smile

My thoughts continue to be with every Kitchener who deserves extra special comfort. You all matter.

The sun continues to shine. I am about to strip the bed and replace with fresh sheets etc. I believe that the late Queen enjoyed slipping in between laundered bedding. Maybe it's just a myth. Who knows. wink

It appears that we may be moving to a new Kitchen in the not too distant future. I shall prepare somewhere appropriate. You matter. flowers

Yia you will be so pleased yesterday is over and DH is in ICU being well cared for.

soop that is a lovely photo of the pair of you. Neither of you looked any older than 10 years ago.

Corner at least you now have a diagnosis. I hope the waiting time is shorter in your neck of the woods. Here it is around 2 years.

I hope Mr C will soon feel better, that it is a mild dose he has and that he keeps it to himself.

We will be on the move soon, I must not get left behind as my sense of direction is not great.

Good Evening Lovely Ladies……..

What a beautiful photo of Mr and Soop…….inspiring❤️….
Also good wishes for Corners, hope your DH isn’t too poorly, and you stay Covid free 🙏
Hope your day has been kind to you Yia and your DH is progressing and being well cared for. And I hope you’ve managed some peace and rest…..
Another first for me today, a dental appointment…I walked into the surgery and my dentist asked how life was treating me, unfortunately that tipped me over the edge and I ended up in tears. Luckily he was very kind and managed to carry out my inspection. So today I’ve felt so sad…….
I truly hope you are ALL as well as you be can under your circumstances, I know life is so hard and difficult for so many of us.
I’m going to look after our two younger grandchildren, aged 10 and 7 over the weekend. Mum and dad will be in Majorca, so I will be kept on my toes, no time to dwell. They live on the coast so fingers crossed the weather will stay dry.
Lovely to hear from you all on your holidays, embrace and make wonderful memories, they are priceless.
I will wish you all a peaceful night. God Bless……

Happy Anniversary soops. What a lovely photo. Yiayia, I am so glad to hear that the operation went well. Onwards and upwards!
Corner I have had uveitis and it was so painful! Sympathy winging your way.
We are just back from Staffordshire, following my aunt’s funeral. She was 104, so not unexpected. Lovely to catch up with cousins, cousins of cousins etc. Lots of outrageous family gossip!
Early to bed, as the plumber is coming at 8.30 am! 🫣

Grannmarie Wed 02-Oct-24 19:15:02

Hoping and praying that MrSoop is back home and comfortable, and that MrYiaYia is resting and recovering. Thinking of Soop and YiaYia, look after yourselves too...
We had a lovely sunny autumnal day, a bit cold but beautiful light and gorgeous colours on the trees. I took my friend to Mass and Coffee Morning, she enjoyed the catch up with friends and parishioners, as well as the home baking!
Then by chance I met my sister and her GD in Lidl, the wee one is chatting away now, 20 months, such a smiley, happy girl.

Salmon steaks and rainbow couscous for dinner.

Wishing everyone a peaceful Wednesday evening. TOYA.

‘Evening All’.

We’ve had such a lovely day here in Málaga. It was hot. Like August but without the humidity. Wonderful! We walked up into Arroyo. I wanted to buy two Lorreria tickets to put in an 80th birthday card for a friend next week. I hope he wins! (And remembers me ha!). We had a mooch about. Himself went in a ferriteria to buy filters for two taps. He was in there ages. ‘Ironmongers’ are a real cornucopia of treasures apparently! 😁

Then we sat outside a Domino’s pizzeria - new to Arroyo. We shared a pepperoni pizza and it was bluddy delicious! We have one further along from our apartment at home … but never go in. Just for the kids! It was a nice change anyway. Then we bought a rotisserie chicken and a ‘media ratione’ of garlic potatoes. They are in a frying pan with butter right now!

As we got home we sat in the gardens at 2pm. Himself watched a film on his iPad, I read my Kindle. Under a palm tree it was so sunny!

At 5pm I suggested wine (for me) in Pedro’s. Had 2. Caught up with some of our neighbours, lovely, then up for showers and dinner awaits!

Wonderful reassuring news Yia I’m delighted for you all. You’ve had such an anxious wait.

Great photo soop your love for one another shines through. Happy anniversary!

Lovely picture soop. Hope all goes well this afternoon flowers

cornergran Wed 02-Oct-24 16:38:56

Relieved to hear the news yia. Thank you for taking the time to tell us. love to you both

Belated anniversary wishes to you both soop. That photo is definitely a keeper

Mr C has tested positive for covid, he was fine then he wasn’t. He’s worried in case he left it in the hospital yesterday. We can only hope not. He’s slept for hours today in between coughing. I’m OK at the moment so have ventured out and stocked the fridge for a siege, just in case. Thankfully we have tests so can check. No matter the ‘rules’ neither of us are happy to mix with others while we’re positive.

Other than that it’s been a pottering sort of a day. I cleared the ironing, tomorrow I’ll settle and catch up with matters financial.

Take care everyone. TOYA
