A busy day today as WI are having a fund raising sale tomorrow in the next village - plants, cakes, jam etc. Also stepGS is coming to help in the garden. He is fundraising for a trip to Australia. I may have to put DH onto supervision duties!
Still have an awful lot of ironing left, despite doing quite a bit yesterday.
We didn’t get rain yesterday - I hope the wet people manage to dry out today.

Blimey, the kitchen is quiet. No one’s been in for hours!

We’ve enjoyed glorious sunshine today here in south Manchester. I’ve had a pedicure today and my feet are sandal ready for Ibiza on Tuesday!

I’m enjoying a glass of chilled white wine and eyeing up the lamb steaks and cauliflower that are tonight’s dinner, if I get a wriggle on.

As I said, a drenching day again and at 16 cool to say the least, my car passed its MOT and we’ve been for our Friday pub catch up, subjects discussed - the NHS, our bad veg crops this year and Lidl’s wine choices, amongst others, all good fun and laughter.

Good news about the car jax. Daft devil that I am a car MoT feels like a child taking an exam. I always congratulate ours when it passes .

Been a busy one here. Rained all day sadly. Volunteering this morning, TaiChi this afternoon followed by a visit to not one but two supermarkets.

We too have had glorious sunshine today in East Yorkshire and was lucky enough to enjoy a coffee in the courtyard of a favourite cafe of ours.

Today was the first day this week with nothing in the diary but it meant jobs to be caught up with. This evening I’m watching the tennis from New York as we have a British player in the semi finals.

Lovely photo FGT belated birthday wishes and congratulations on your Golden Wedding anniversary. We hit 40 years recently and it really does make you reflect and take stock.

I’m home alone and just had a knock at the door. I peered out of the blinds but there wasn’t anyone in sight. After a few minutes a man appeared from 2 doors away looks like a takeaway delivery must have had the wrong house. Phew my heart was in my mouth 😕

Hello everyone. We’ve had a very dull but humid day here in mid Essex - grey most of the day, but no rain and about half an hour of sunshine. Some rain would be useful for the garden and to refill the water butts, but not too much.

It was the WI travelling coffee morning today. I drove three ladies plus me to a Farm Shop/Pick Your Own place for coffee and cake. It was fun.

I cooked bangers, mash, peas and onion gravy for dinner and watched the final episode of Kaos.

Sleep tight.

I’m sorry to have been absent from the Kitchen. I likely won’t be here too often for the foreseeable, as life has just become even more challenging and it won’t be going away. TOYA. Xxx

Good morning all and special thoughts to Urms on her Golden Day.
Ours was also on a Saturday and we had a lovely weekend.
So sorry SueD is not enjoying life , I hope it improves.
So much sadness in the kitchen.
My own wheels fell off yesterday, well last evening.
We have a very upsetting situation which is not for “broadcasting “ as it may identify me, as a consequence my two youngest GC landed on my doorstep for an unforeseeable length of time.
We had them for two months earlier in the year.
My S, their father , is not able to offer them a home due to MH problems and he lives in my home.
I love them but cannot cope with them full time.
Also I have health worries that at present I am keeping from the family.
A huge mess.
However “this too shall pass”..
I hope most of us find some sunshine today and sorry for unburdening myself.

I usually watch all the comings and goings from that lovely chair in the corner but had to join in to say how sorry I am to hear worrying news from both 'Ann* and SueDonim. Our situation is still ongoing.DG had more tests last week.One of them was a stress test and he couldn’t complete it.He has two more tests next week and a meeting with the consultant on the 23rd.We have been told as he has some complex medical problems,he needs these tests to make sure surgery would be possible.Its so stressful as now it will be three months since this nightmare began.Counting the days till we get an answer.
