NannyG4 sending you lots of ❤️❤️❤️ I hope you enjoy your weekend looking after your DGC, you’ll be busy I expect, hope they’re good for you x

Pleased to hear Mr Soops good news Soop

GG13 well done in starting to get organised well in advance! 👍🧑‍🎄 🎄

cornergran Thu 03-Oct-24 18:01:14

That was reassuring news soop. I’m pleased for you both.

Mr C is no worse today, just eaten an omelette followed by fruit and yoghurt - very positive signs as was a mutter about being bored. No idea how he worked that out as he’s been asleep for most of the day hmm.

I’ve plodded through admin and laundry, feel on top of things now. It’s been a beautiful sunny day, laundry dried and ironed, if it’s replicated tomorrow I’ll empty a couple of containers and plant the winter cyclamen we bought last week. Poor things are languishing in far too small pots. I’ll enjoy pottering.

You accomplished a lot in spite of being unwell grandmab. Put me to shame. Please rest tomorrow if you need to and can.

I’ve a stash of Christmas gifts which I keep very quiet about as the family tend to make fun of my be prepared tendencies. Pleased you’ve joined me grannyg. Good not to be the only one smile.

Your weekend to come sounds just right nannyg4, a happy family time to come.

Best be off. It’s time the patient was dosed again. Take care everyone. TOYA.

Hi all, I’m pleased Mrc seems to be bucking up corner fingers crossed to remain bug free.
A lovely weekend to keep you occupied NannyG4 I hope they behave!
Grandmabatty slow down and indulge until your germs have gone, stay warm and hydrated.
I want to know why, when I eat loads of fruit and more veg that him MrJ hasn’t got this ‘outstaying it’s welcome’ cough and cold I have, not fair 🙁
Lunch out today with a friend, the most delicious squash soup, I thanked the chef and enjoyed a chat.
Enjoy your evening.

you not to corner

‘Evening All’.

We’ve had a lovely day in the very warm sunshine here. Took ourselves down onto the paseo stopping often for drinks and some food. I like Palm 5 bar the way they put a frozen grape in a glass of white wine.

Himself has just left to join friends watching Rangers ⚽️ in a sports bar. I think I’ll watch a film on Netflix. It’s very warm this evening.

Hello everyone.
soop good news about mr soops scan. corner it sounds as though mr c is on the mend🤞And hopefully he won’t have shared his germs with you.
fgt2 I hope your DH enjoys the football this evening, just like old times? Enjoy your film.
I had my rsv vaccination yesterday, no reaction so far! Saw the podiatrist this morning, my toes feel more comfortable now, despite the arthritis! Littlest granddaughter has a streaming cold, hope she doesn’t pass it on, I’m struggling to get rid of the last one generously donated by my DD!
I hope the yias are on the road to recovery now.
Thinking of everyone feeling poorly or struggling with low mood.

NannyG I find all it needs to make the tears flow is for someone to say How are you, somehow I find it so hard to say Ok when I’m really not. Just been looking at a photo of DH and the tears just come all by themselves. Hope you’re ok tonight.
Yiayia do hope your DH is making good progress.

Hello kitchen people.

That’s good news Soop!

OH and I had a delicious lunch at our favourite riverside restaurant. I had flat iron steak for the first time and it was perfect. Pink, tender and tasty.

I spent a couple of hours this afternoon on WI admin. Typing up last night’s notes and drafting an email to the members. I send one out a week or so before each meeting with details of what’s happening etc.

OH is upstairs watching football on his laptop. I should get something to eat - maybe cereal - and then I might watch an old Fleabag.

Have a good evening.

I have dipped into this lovely kitchen a couple of times mainly read all your posts enjoying all the differences in your lives. Today would have been our 43 wedding anniversary. Sadly my husbands funeral was on our 30th anniversary 13 years ago. Nobody remembers but of course it is in my heart

Grandmabatty Fri 04-Oct-24 02:32:56

Lins 💐

Nannytopsy Fri 04-Oct-24 03:46:59

I’m awake in the middle of the night again! flowers for Lins, Doodle and NannyG. We lost a near neighbour a couple of weeks ago. Such a lovely man. I have a weep now and then and I am dreading the funeral.
I have cyclamen and bulbs to put in pots too. Maybe tomorrow, along with cleaning the lawn after a visit from SiL’s horrible dogs. I wish she would clean up before she goes home - there must be 10 heaps out there. 🤬

FGT your trip sounds lovely. I am not booking anything again until my knee is done. It saddens me to be in lovely places but barely able to leave the hotel.
Hoping MrYia is doing well. No news today.
I trust you are all sleeping soundly, like DH next to me. I shall try again!

HelterSkelter1 Fri 04-Oct-24 05:29:26

Nannytopsy. Buy a roll of dog pooh bags and give her several before she goes home. And a larger plastic bag to put them in so that she can take them with her. Don't ask her just give them to her and say there you go.
I can't imagine not clearing up after a dog on my property or in the street. I couldn't even like a person who didn't. Sorry to jump in, but have been awake for a while.

soop Fri 04-Oct-24 13:54:32

soop Fri 04-Oct-24 13:55:38

Have ordered an Aga for the new kitchen. Cosy conversations assured.

soop Fri 04-Oct-24 13:56:38

Plenty of comfortable chairs for our new Kitcheners.

soop Fri 04-Oct-24 13:58:10

I have also added an upmarket coffee maker. What is your preference, Charleyg ?

soop Fri 04-Oct-24 13:59:20

The buffet is looking delicious. All virtually calorie-free. wink

soop Fri 04-Oct-24 14:00:10

Charleyg Are you lunching? If so, we'll catch up later.

soop Fri 04-Oct-24 14:03:09

We will be attending the local Harvest supper tomorrow evening. It will be an opportunity to meet with villagers that we rarely see now that I am unable to manage the long walks of not so distant times.

soop Fri 04-Oct-24 14:03:54

Are we almost ready to lock the door and move on? I shall check...

soop Fri 04-Oct-24 14:04:59

hmm I shall be opening the new kitchen VERY soon.

soop Fri 04-Oct-24 14:05:24
