Good evening kitchen pals, it’s been another good but busy day up here in Inverness, drop offs and pick ups etc for the DGC at various activities. More sorting out and packing boxes with DD this evening in readiness for her move, although still no date yet.
Shame about the rain Jax but lovely for your DD to host the bbq for you all.
That’s definitely very good value Urms sounds good too

‘Evening All’.

A gorgeous hot sunny day here. We are sorted now in the apartment, we know where things are! My lipsticks are in the fridge door to keep them firm. 😁

We’re back up from eating down in Pedro’s. I had a pork chop with salad and a glass of Ribera. Himself enjoyed spag Bol a la casa and an AF lager. €21 in total … about £18. Excellent value.

I hope you’re having the best day soop.
We went to a bbq at my daughter’s this afternoon, the one rainy day for ages! She bravely cooked holding a large umbrella, my brother and his wife were there, both of my children are very fond of him, four hours later we waddled home with full tums.
That’ll be me fed for the day, MrJ may snack later, I’ve just been out for a M&S collection, it’s still drizzling, but by Sunday we’re due 28 and sun.

I agree with you about early morning reading. If I wake at 3 or 4 am, my worries are always multiplied so reading is a welcome distraction until sleep returns. 😴

Not long home from seeing DGS1 and family, great to give him celebratory cuddles although I've to stretch cos he's over 6ft now!

I had a disaster yesterday with the Wee Boy's knitting, I had to rip it back a few rows...just getting ready to try again. If at first you don't succeed...

Hello 👋 Granmarie, I hope you are feeling improved since you had covid. The warm weather here makes afternoon naps very tempting sometimes. I always read before I go to sleep though sometimes only for ten minutes, and I read if I wake in the early hours of the morning. I’ve found that it’s the fastest way to relax and get back to sleep again.

Lovely to see that you are safely arrived in your “happy place” Urms I hope you and Mr.Urms have a wonderful holiday.

By the way we mostly drink our red wine frio as well. If I have one early in the evening I might even have ice in it (shock) but a glass of good red wine after a meal is something to be savoured and another story.
