‘Evening All’.
I’ve been out with my ladies this afternoon. Most enjoyable. I’m more measured these days ‘just in case’. No bad thing although I do remember wobbling home (a bit) years ago at tea time, talking broken biscuits (according to Himself!). Good fun 😁 but nowadays I’m older and must admit it’s nice not to have a bad head in the morning (and to remember everything ha!).
We’ve just eaten. Slo cooker pork, onions, peppers with ‘ping’ pots of rice. Eat your heart out Delia. 🤣
Thinking of the Yias tonight. Hoping for some good news tomorrow.
We’ve put duvets on our beds for tonight as it was chilly under just a sheet at 5am. I’m looking forward to my bed later. It must be an age thing …
Hello kitchen people.
I hope all has gone well Yia.🌹
Just saying, FGT2, but I never suffer from hangovers. Ever! Slightly wobbly sometimes…
The WI coffee morning was fun. I had a slice of the most delicious lemon cake. The cafe owner’s mum makes all the cakes. My two V&A Art History lectures were good. I squeezed one in before lunch and the other after I got back from my friend’s.
OH has gone to his shooting club and I’m relaxing on the sofa and waiting for GBBO to come on.
Have a good evening.
fgt2, good you enjoyed your lunch with your friends! What’s a hangover? Haven’t had one for years, but I’d probably be suffering after a couple of glasses of wine!
Hoping all has gone well for the yias.
I realised that it was a bit silly to stretch up to the top shelf in the garage as my knee and “new”hip have been a bit achy ever since! I haven’t done much today and tomorrow will be quiet too. I have to go to the surgery for my rsv jab, and DD2 will be working here for a few hours so I won’t be able to do any vacuuming. Good excuse! Food drop in the afternoon and that’s the extent of my day. If I get bored I can do some ironing,
Have a peaceful evening everyone.
Just to say I hope everything went well for Mr Yia - thinking of you both.
Also thinking of the soops and hoping for good news soon.
FGT You definitely have it 'sussed'! Enjoy!
Thinking of all with sickness, worries and/or hills to climb. Keep strong.
Thinking of Yia here too, a long day for her.
Just popping in to see if there’s any news from Yia. Must be exhausted with all the waiting and emotion of it all. Hope all is well.
Just checking in to see how everyone is and thinking of Yia what a day it must have been.
Love to Soops.
Thinking of you ALL and wish you a peaceful night.
With love ❤️
Yia.. It's probably been the longest day ever for you...so just sending you the gentlest of hugs....and saying...all of us are here with you. Xxx
Sat in the eye hospital for three and a half hours today, thoughts were a mix of ‘ouch these seats are hard’ and hoping all was well with mr yia. I can only hope you are both resting now. I’m remembering being like a cat on hot bricks when Mr C had heart surgery last year. Waiting is exhausting.
They eye hospital was surprising. A final diagnosis of uveitis, it’s stable and my sight remains excellent. Should be a further check in about six weeks. I was also told the blood tests indicate I have systemic lupus, the doctor was worried about my reaction which was merely curiosity as I have wondered about it for years, many symptoms mirror those labelled fibromyalgia. A letter will go to the GP asking for onward referral to a rheumatologist, and I thought I was done with doctors.
Wishing you all a peaceful night, especially the soops who are dealing with such a lot. Goodnight everyone xx

Hello lovely Kitcheners. The good news is the operation was a success they managed to do minimal surgery, very good news.
The bad news he became very unstable and his heart kept slowing down. He’s in intensive care and on oxygen and as soon as they are happy he will be moved to a normal ward.Yesterday was never ending the operation was over five hours.I was with the family and we were on a knife edge waiting for that call.Saw him last night and he was very sleepy but responsive.
My family and friends are great but you all are very special and thank you so much your support it really helps.
Yia.... Thankyou for letting us know, so pleased op went well...... Small steps now, one day at a time....... Love and prayers.........

We celebrated our 36th wedding anniversary yesterday. The sun shone throughout. We have many treasured memories. Here is a photo that we took by propping the camera on the arm of a chair, setting the timer and having Mr Soop sprint to be by my side. It was fun!
