Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - isn’t it?

I saw this pic of Katie Price today and felt sad for her.
She presumably thinks what she is doing to her face and body make her more attractive, but I am seeing, over inflated lips, an over inflated bust, rough looking skin, dyed hair and unattractive tattoos. I hope she is happy with what this is costing her, but IMO true beauty comes from within- and can shine through the wrinkliest face!
I just know which one I would rather be.

I would feel sorry for her but she dragged her son Harvey to Turkey and back, so he had to watch her being arrested at the airport. Did she think of him in all this?

He has to look at his mother covered in blood, staples and incisions weeping with pus. Then she went into the hotel swimming pool like that and upset the other guests. So I have little sympathy for her to be honest.

I believe he is partially sighted? So hopefully it wasn't too distressing for him to see? He doesn't look distressed. Whatever her faults, I do think she loves him but is a disordered and ill person.

It must have been awful for the hotel guests though and I wouldn't want to use that pool afterwards.

Yes I think the surgeons in many of these cases are utterly immoral.

Me too

I think her son might have lost access to his care placement due to the money she's earned meaning that his care should be funded by her? If he's over a certain age I dont know if the government would step in and provide for him in this desperate situation?

I read that she can't get legal aid and can't fund legal representation either, so I don't know how she will manage in court. It's certainly an awful time, especially for her son needing her care (or financial provision for care)

He is an adult. She doesn’t have to fund his care

It does seem that people who go to Turkey to have operational procedurals take a risk. Worst case scenarios there have been deaths. Sometimes the NHS has to rectify what's been botched. In the long term it's such a risk having umpteen unnecessary surgical procedures with accompanying anaesthetics it can't be good for the body. There is an inevitably about aging. Ultimately even KP will have to come to terms with that.

It think KP can still make money from Only Fans to support her lifestyle and her new book is selling, God knows who buys it though, I didn't think there was anything left to find out about her.shock

Disregard that I ve now read your post Chestnut so she’s had another facelift and new veneers
If she’s lost all her money what’s she paying these places with ?

What is it shes had done that involves bleeding ears ? I know nothing about these procedures never set foot in any kind of ‘beauty’ salon

Her sixth - yes, sixth - facelift, apparently!

Not for the first time, I find myself agreeing with Chestnut,
Silly woman.

Haven’t the surgeons any sense of right and wrong. Any conscience, at all. Or is it just money

JudyBloom Sat 10-Aug-24 15:42:00

I agree with you RosiesMaw2 and I see a sad person who will never be satisfied.

I think she's made herself unattractive. There's nothing like natural beauty whatever age you are.

Not nessasarily, some people have disfigurment, they were born with it and surgery to sort it out helps them gain confidence and not always think about their looks.
Nature has sometimes been unkind to people.
I do think Katie has had too much, and I feel for her as like others have said their maybe mental health problems.

Sometimes you meet someone and there is something about their smile, laugh or sense of humour which just connects you to them. That is what I call inner beauty. Doesn't matter the age, culture, gender or class, they just have it.

Yes, I think this too

3nanny6 Sat 10-Aug-24 14:19:26

Where does she find the money for all these procedures? she is supposed to be bankrupt and yet still racking up debts. Katie is still Katie and on the news last night after her morning in court she apparently apologized to the judge saying she will be on time for her next court appearance. She was slightly concerned that she had two other appointments on the same day but those appointments could be moved as obviously court was more important. As a glamour model she probably feels that she must keep up her procedures to look good although her breasts are beginning to look quite bizarre and are now far too big and not attractive. I imagine the look she has with the big breasts is found to be more attractive to men that find that sort of thing a turn on.

biglouis Sat 10-Aug-24 14:14:01

Men can fall victim to this too! Lets not forget how Michael Jackson turned himself from a handsome young black man to a pasty faced monster! We know now that he was mercilessly bullied by his father as a boy. No doubt he developed many of his metal problems as a result.

She’s a trouble lady and perhaps since her son has gone into independant living she may be lonely lost a lot of her usefulness
I don’t know what she had been to Turkey for this time but it must be awful to never ever feel you look good enough

Redhead56 Sat 10-Aug-24 13:55:27

You could be totally naturally unattractive but inner beauty shines through.
There is too much emphasis on looks at one time it was film stars with the plastic surgery to keep their looks to keep getting the work. Now young girls are having it done before they have even matured.

Babs03 Sat 10-Aug-24 13:37:58

I think there is a current trend for young women to make their faces look like the toy Bratz dolls, with long fake eyelashes and duck lips. Not so bothered about the eyelashes we wore fakes in our day but the lips look grotesque.
Katie Price reminds me of the late and not so great Michael Jackson, inasmuch as she keeps doing cosmetic surgery to herself until she looks a complete mess.
A shame really because she was a pretty young woman.

Marydoll Sat 10-Aug-24 13:07:55

I have to say that I look better now in my late sixties, than when I was younger. wink

Two of my friends were very attractive, but liked to sunbathe and have paid the price. They are very wrinkly and have lost their looks!
I had no good looks to lose! 🤣

MissAdventure Sat 10-Aug-24 13:02:04

No, I've not seen that, but no doubt it's happening.

I sometimes see a celeb and think they've not worn well, then realise they actually look as they should do.

JaneJudge Sat 10-Aug-24 12:57:44

Did you see how the Appleton sisters were criticised recently for looking old? As they haven’t had Botox etc
It seems to me misogyny is the problem rather than the women themselves
