Yes, exactly that.
If their whole identity and success has been based around them looking good, or like "the girl net door" (lesley Ash) the temptation, must be to try and preserve the image.

It’s sometimes difficult for very attractive women, especially women in the ‘glamour’ industry, to accept the aging process.
They’d rather look weird than old.
A face covered in deep lines and wrinkles, along with a scraggy turkey neck is not a look they want.
The pity of it is that Katie was really naturally good looking in the first place.
There is a culture now, personally I find cosmetic “enhancement” unattractive and some young women look ridiculous, tattoos make it worse.
I guess I’m not their target audience.

I'm probably wrong but I get the feeling she's lonely and does all this cosmetic stuff to make her feel better. It's very sad. And hasn't she got a difficult son to look after?
Yes, she’s a carer. Before someone says her son doesn’t live with her full time, neither does my disabled daughter with me - you are still a carer. You worry relentlessly, it doesn’t stop. You have put your trust in people to do the right thing and sometimes they don’t. Sometimes it’s far from ideal. Sometimes the complexity of your child’s disability, the understanding, the resolutions, it’s all down to you -their mum. It is overwhelming.
The media seem to have an agenda with vulnerable women in the spot light and many of them have a premature death.
I hate cosmetic surgery btw but there was a culture in the 90s for young girls to have their mammaries plastered on the inside of magazines and newspapers. Katie Price or Jordan as she was known then was one of them. It’s interesting how Pamela Anderson has found peace with herself as she’s got older
I think its body dysmorphia, poor lady, she is ill.
The paper called her a "former glamour model" and she is, but she has not moved on to making money in more successful ways than doing things to get attention, then getting paid for it by the papers giving her money for the pics.
It's so sad and she must be in SO much pain from all the surgeries. It makes me wince to look at how tight her skin is as I can only imagine the pure discomfort and the mental distress that can cause someone to want to do this to themselves.
Her poor kids. I'm sure they thought she was beautiful without any surgery. Also saw in the news she was thinking of working as an escort to pay her debts. Hope that's not true, for the sake of her kids.
I have posted this before I think.
I was in a queue in something like Matalan, I can’t remember the name, in Horsham with my GC buying bits for them, the woman in front had baskets full of children’s clothes, it was taking two assistants to deal with her and they suggested that we find another till.
My GC said look Nan it’s Katie Price and the attention from other shoppers confirmed it.
She was very pleasant looking but not at all glamorous.
I moved but my GC kept returning to the first till and when we left she had racked up over £700 with more to come.
This was just after her first bankruptcy hearing and a driving ban.
She is a very disturbed young woman who craves attention and will go to any lengths to get it.
I also felt deeply sorry for her. She looks quite dreadfully weird. Poor lady.

I think she's made herself unattractive. There's nothing like natural beauty whatever age you are.

I agree with the posts here regarding Katie Price. She seems a very disturbed woman, constantly subjecting her body to unnecessary surgery.
Equally worrying, she appears to think that court demands are requests/ optional activities and that holidays and (more) cosmetic surgery would be accepted as a reason for non- attendance.
I fear that she is heading for a custodial sentence. The judiciary must be exasperated with her refusal to engage with due process of law.
I've actually just read an online article which claims that she actually wants to be given a custodial sentence as she believes she will be able to 'cash in' on doing interviews from behind bars.

I fear she will end up dead. She seems to be on a spiral of self-destruction. Whoever carried out her last facelift should be prosecuted, and probably whoever carried out most of her latest cosmetic procedures as well.
I think she's clearly had deep-seated mental health issues for years - body dysmorphia, perhaps? I don't think she'll ever be satisfied with how she looks - but on a more cynical level, I think she knows full well than every time she has more surgery, it all adds up to more column inches and more publicity for her.
I saw this pic of Katie Price today and felt sad for her.
She presumably thinks what she is doing to her face and body make her more attractive, but I am seeing, over inflated lips, an over inflated bust, rough looking skin, dyed hair and unattractive tattoos. I hope she is happy with what this is costing her, but IMO true beauty comes from within- and can shine through the wrinkliest face!
I just know which one I would rather be.
