Taking my life in my hands as this is bound to be a contentious issue and I foresee the deletions flying thick and fast…
Here goes

If you had to choose only one out of these to eat for the rest of your life - and the other never again, which would it be?

Cheese šŸ§€ or chocolate šŸ«

(And for the aficionados - which variety?)

Sago Wed 14-Aug-24 09:51:31

Cheese!
Otherwise I would miss out on so many lovely dishes, lasagne, cauliflower cheese, pizza.
The thought of never having fresh crusty bread smeared with room temperature Epoisses😱.
You can keep your chocolate.

Cheese - and I love most varieties except the mouldy versions which come when you call them.

Chocolate can get very sickly after a while.

Smileless2012 Wed 14-Aug-24 09:40:25

Cheese for me.

Chocolatelovinggran Wed 14-Aug-24 09:37:58

Oh goodness- my name tells you all you need to know .
Sorry, cheese- it's been lovely spending time with you, but...

Grannybags Wed 14-Aug-24 09:13:32

Definitely cheese for me too. Mature Cheddar please!

Jane43 Wed 14-Aug-24 09:00:30

Cheese definitely.

1summer Wed 14-Aug-24 09:00:29

Cheese, love a blue cheese Stilton or St Agur.

Mawmac Wed 14-Aug-24 08:57:57

Cheese, but please don’t make me choose just one.

Grandmadinosaur Wed 14-Aug-24 08:57:48

Chocolate for me.

I like most types but not too much of the cheaper ones that are full of sugar Hotel Chocolat are favourites as are Lindt and the Italian Baci chocolates.

cornergran Wed 14-Aug-24 08:56:22

Sad though I’d be to not have chocolate it would be cheese - any kind any time.

LaCrepescule Wed 14-Aug-24 08:55:15

Cheese, no contest. I don’t much like sugary food anymore and a strong cheddar or goat’s cheese does it for me every time.

JaneJudge Wed 14-Aug-24 08:55:04

Cheese smile
can I introduce you please, to a lump of Cheddar cheese

Farmor15 Wed 14-Aug-24 08:52:57

Cheese - I seem to like chocolate less as I get older but I couldn't live without cheese!

pascal30 Wed 14-Aug-24 08:40:01

cheese.. it's so versatile

dragonfly46 Wed 14-Aug-24 08:30:55

Definitely cheese - any variety except processed.
Chocolate is not a favourite of mine.

Marydoll Wed 14-Aug-24 08:29:46

When we used to visit Rome, we would go to the Mercato Commerciale and taste the cheeses. It was cheese heaven!

nanna8 Wed 14-Aug-24 08:29:45

Oh a nice blue cheese, maybe Stilton but I do like chocolate a lot. I’d find a way of getting that as well, don’t you worry!

Marydoll Wed 14-Aug-24 08:28:16

If I ever eat cheese and chocolate together, I have a full blown migraine, however I love both, so a difficult choice.

I love most cheese, so it would need to be chocolate😢, I gave up.
My favourite it is an extra mature Cornish Cheddar.

LadyGracie Wed 14-Aug-24 08:25:31

Any strong cheese, I love cheese, but none of the ones with anything added, garlic, cranberries etc, a big yuk to those.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 14-Aug-24 08:24:57

Cheese please.

Then I am torn between a bold English cheddar and a creamy Italian dolcelatte šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

M0nica Wed 14-Aug-24 08:22:01

It is a no-brainer. Cheese. I actually do not particularly like chocolate and already eat very little,

If the little chocolate I do eat disappeared, I doubt I would notice.

MissInterpreted Wed 14-Aug-24 07:43:41

I do love a piece of good quality dark chocolate from time to time, but if push came to shove, it'd have to be cheese! I love cheese - don't think I've ever found a cheese I didn't like, the stronger the better.

Greyduster Wed 14-Aug-24 07:42:24

Cheese. I’ve found that I can get by without chocolate, but would hate to be deprived of a bit of good farmhouse Lancashire or cave-aged Roquefort with water biscuits, or a rich cheese sauce made with extra mature cheddar…….

Babs03 Wed 14-Aug-24 07:29:21

EkwaNimitee

Wouldn’t be bothered if I ate neither again as I can’t eat most cheese nor am I a chocolate addict.
Now if you were to pose the choice of never drinking coffee or wine again…..!

Nooo!
That would be inhuman.

TillyTrotter Wed 14-Aug-24 07:26:57

Cheese for me.
A runny Brie, a mature Cheddar with crunchy crackers and pear & fig chutney. Mmmm .. it’s making my mouth water typing this.
