Anyone else have an all singing all dancing vacuum....

Thank you MissAdventure - I truly love my Henry but like you, I struggle with the weight of it now.

I first had a Numatic one before they were popular I think it was 1980/1981 as I saw one in use at our local cinema and the cleaner was SO enthusiastic!

Now we have robot vacuums and I love those.
They do need to run more often I feel but they are amazing.

What they can't do is get behind our Victorian style radiators and that's such a nuisance.

I’m a bit obsessed by floor cleaning products. I’ve vacuums for upstairs, downstairs and even an old Kirby for the garage.
I’ve steam cleaners, spray mops, minute mops and a spinning mop and bucket for my hard floors.
I’m always in the lookout for anything that might make the job easier and more efficient.

Maybe I should just get out more?!

This is the bosch cordless. It works for all the quick little jobs. The Henry gets brought out if a thorough vacumming is needed. The downside with the cordless is remembering to charge it up (takes 2 hours). It is a bit flimsy but we haven't managed to break it.

We have ended up with three! The main one is a Henry - it does the job better than anything and goes on forever. However I can't manage it now. A few years ago I got a robot hoover which I love. It's not that quick but no bending and it does the job (mostly). However I don't use that much either since OH insisted on a Cordless hoover. I wasn't keen on the idea but we got one and it's very quick and easy. It wasn't one of the massively expensive ones - a £170 bosch. It has a handheld hoover that detaches which is really handy for the odd little thing. And it's light and easy to use. But neither of them pick up as well as the Henry!

I had a Henry for years.
Reasonably priced, never went wrong, easy to get the bags.

Just got too heavy for me.

Ours is a Henry.
Had it for years and he hasn’t let us down, our grown fam swear by the cordless vacuums that you recharge but whilst Henry keeps going we’ll stick with him.

This one was also good, but it stopped working pretty soon after I got it.

It doesn't get brilliant reviews, but I spent a few months researching, and it does what's needed, and makes a huge difference, rather than having to get the big vac out of the cupboard.

It charges up, and runs for about 30 mins, light as a feather, and has a light so you can ensure you've got all the "bits" done.

I bought a handheld small vacuum for those jobs.
Its suitable for the car, computer keyboard, hard to reach areas, and high window frames etc.
The best thing is though, it's great for picking up "bits".
Crumbs between cushions, crumbs after eating at the table, and things like that.

I love my robot vacuum 😍
Just need a suitable lightweight stick one for behind the radiator now asit can't get there.

Mine doesn't sing or dance, it would be rather fun if it did, but it goes for quite a long time without needing to re-charge and picks up well so I am happy. I use about two of the many gadgets that came with it, some of which I would not know how to use.
I still use a broom or a dustpan and brush for quick sweep ups.

My cordless one came with a large range of attachments I have never found a use for. But DH actually enjoys vacuuming, so job sorted!

Not really. Mine is quite basic. I can’t find one that really suit me. Some are too heavy. Some don’t get into corners. And I don’t want anything fiddly or complicated.
