You know when you see a headline and think Oh dear😄😄
Just that.
A beautiful lady - they must have been quite a couple.
RIP.

I said exactly that!

RIP

I was only thinking about her the other day. Katherine Wogan, their daughter, was narrating a tv documentary, and it brought them to mind.

She was a very attractive lady.

ā€œThe current Mrs Woganā€ was how Terry referred to her.

Reunited souls.

Sad news 😄 but now reunited with her beloved Terry.

Her son described her as "the epitome of style and grace".
What a beautiful tribute.

RIP Lady Helen

I was lucky enough to be part of the audience on many occasions for Weekend Wogan, Terry Wogan's Sunday morning BBC2 radio show around 15 yrs ago.

Helen Wogan was quite often there and was a charming lady. She would chat and say she was "very much looking forward to Terry taking her out for Sunday lunch" straight after his show finished.

A graceful lady indeed. RIP

I m ignorant of who she is? Oh I see the wife of the late Terry what did she do then ? Was she famous in her own right ?

My daughter worked on the Wogan show. He was a real gentleman and every year gave a party for them at his home. His wife was lovely and very hospitable. They were a great couple.

Helen Wogan, born Helen Joyce on May 18, 1936, in Dublin, Ireland, spent her early years immersed in the vibrant culture of her hometown. Dublin, known for its rich literary and artistic heritage, undoubtedly influenced Helen’s sense of style and grace, and she developed a strong foundation of values centered around kindness and resilience.
In her youth, Helen was drawn to the world of modeling. Her striking beauty and elegant demeanor quickly made her a standout figure in Dublin’s social circles. As a young model, she captivated audiences with her poise and charm, embodying the classic elegance of the era.
She gained widespread recognition when she married Terry Wogan in 1965 in what was described as ā€œthe greatest celebrity weddingā€ of 1965.
This event was celebrated as one of the most glamorous and talked-about weddings in Ireland.

Thank you SueDoku

Anyone who was a fan of Terry Wogan would know Helen, the current Mrs Wogan.

A lovely woman with grace and style.

Have just looked at some beautiful black and white photos of Terry and wife Helen on their wedding day.
What a good looking couple.
And a good life lived.
Thoughts are with those they leave behind.

Mu mum brought my older sister down in her pram to see Helen and Terry emerging from the Church in Rathmines, Dublin on their wedding day. She was an elegant lady, with strong and traditional family values. May she rest in peace.

I was just thinking I'd have to find some pictures.

I'll go and look now.

No she wasn't famous in her own right. But she was the lovely and dignified wife of a high profile and equally lovely TV star. It's nice that people want to pay tribute on her passing smile

She was very well-known in her native Ireland as a model when she met Terry.

We saw them both sitting in a bar outside sipping a glass of wine in St Emilion. We were on holiday and Terry had just won a radio 2 award. I would have liked to say hello and congratulated him . But then I thought " no,leave them to enjoy their holiday "
