How old is the kitten?

Have you had it checked by the vet? Some cats can be prone to cystitis and bladder/kidney issues.

Some cats wee as a stress reaction and especially moving homes can be a big stress for a small kitten and a big house can panic them. We have had several cats that preferred to be confined in a smaller room or cupboard and gradually allowed to explore the house over a week or so.

Feliway plug in diffusers can also help calm cats with anxiety.

Don't offer a home if you find it a problem.
I've had many cats .
I haven't had any problems house training kittens ,but I've had huge problems with adult males - both rescue cats .
Like Cold , I think that this kitten needs a check up to see if everything is normal .
I also agree about cats being stressed in new situations .
Recently, I refused a cat because I am not feeling well enough to give him enough attention and can't face house training another rescue cat .
I have to be realistic .

That little kitten, like a small child needs routine. Swoping home's however well meaning is probably causing the poor little thing stress.
I have had Cats all my life never had a problem with litter training, kittens.
You need to keep, litter box ( away from the food area) their food, water all on the same place, so they know the routine.

Poor little thing. Kittens need house training just like puppies. Putting something that's been used to clean up any accidents in the litter tray will attract him/her because of the smell.

Usually kittens are litter / house trained by their mothers. I wonder if Kitten was a bit too young to leave mum. It's routine that kits need. Pop kit on the tray first thing and after food, oh and like others have said, keep everything for kit in the same place. It'll all " click " soon enough.

It may have disliked the size or location of the litter tray, the depth or type of litter, the frequency of removing solids. Most kittens bred indoors have been taught to use a litter tray by their mother.
