I wake at 5am most days and usually listen to the World Service and Radio 4 before I get up. I find it makes such a difference to the interest of the topic according to the voice of the broadcaster. There's a young lady who reads the business news who has a voice and accent that I find really grating - I'm sure she's very intelligent and good at the job but don't they audition for the voice too?
And while I'm at it ... why does nearly everyone I watch on TV wave their arms about all the time they are talking? I find that most distracting too. I think I'm turning into a female version of Victor Meldrew wink

I agree with all the arm waving. Gets on my nerves, just stand still, for goodness sake, how hard can it be.
