I drink water all day so now have bottled water with added magnesium. This certainly helps with my leg cramps. If I am out and don't have my usual water I get cramp.

Thanks to this thread I looked it up on line and magnesium can lower your BP and may not be good with losartan. They request checking with dr.

I use a magnesium spray and moisturise it into my feet or calves…helps with restless legs, cramp and definitely aids sleep.

Yes, some of these supplements can interfere with medication so it's wise to check.

Sorry - should have included this detail -the reason for the hospital stay was that I ended up with a small bowel perforation and had to be on a drip and nil by mouth.

One warning - I ended up in hospital for ten days because I was suffering from diverticulitis and didn’t know that the magnesium supplements I was taking counteracted the antibiotics I was given. I didn’t mention them to the doctor because I didn’t think of them as medication.

I take Magnesium Taurate for constant Atrial Fibrilation I had in June and it got rid of it after 3 or 4 days!

i found some in the house so took one, they are magnesium with vitamin B6.
i don't eat meat, so think i should take Vit B6 and ?B12.

I know vegans are advised to take B12 supplements. Eggs and dairy products do contain B12, but at lower levels than red meat, poultry and fish. So vegetarians might well benefit from taking B12.

Yes, I had the same side effects. Apparently there are types which don't cause this but I do not know the name

I drink turmeric tea first thing in the morning (I got organic turmeric tea bags on line) AND now take magnesium. Hard to be sure but I think it is helping especially with sleep and aches. Also I take a supplement for eyes to reduce risk of macular degeneration - called Macushield.

Thank you. I was wondering about the bath salts and sprays there seems to be an awful lot of choice at the moment. Magnesium seems to be the in thing.
I’m going to try a low dose tablet first see how I get on. A lot of things upset my stomach, but then at least there’s other things to try.

A friend recommended magnesium flakes for the bath yesterday. She bought some on Amazon after her daughter found them very helpful
