I find the whole idea unsettling, it has never given me comfort more a sense of continual judgement.

Hopefully they will cover their eyes during my more intimate moments. wink

I ve got loads of feathers from the pigeons in my garden, got a white one on my window sill at the moment
No if there was life after death and parents were ‘looking down’ and seeing their beloved child , involved in an accident, a bad illness, losing their child etc etc ….surely those parents would be in hell not heaven. Watching awful things happening and can do nothing to help anymore that ain’t heaven in my book

There's nobody there but if it gives people comfort, why not.

I saw a white feather on my drive - I didn’t pick it up or think much of it. But where did it come from? I haven’t seen many white birds about 😂

We have a lot of feathers, some white, all over our garden.
We have a sparrow hawk in the neighbourhood plus two new cats belonging to neighbours.

Not religious, but if I were I'd think my father was looking up at me.

I don’t believe anyone is watching me, but the thought that they might be is one of many legacies from my RC upbringing.
I feel quite spooked at the thought sometimes.

No I don’t believe it. My father and I were very close, sadly he died when I was 22, but I remember him saying if there is a way of contacting you after I’ve gone I will, he never has. My father-in-law died when my husband was 25, he was very close to my sister-in-law who is five years older than my husband and she has gone to psychics over the years who have told her what I think is nonsense about him sending her messages through flowers but if it gives her some comfort that’s fine.

I say it but don't imagine they are actually watching me. It is just a comfort thing, feeling close to them. However I do believe that energy cannot be created or destroyed and everything is connected and part of something in ways we can't fully understand

They would be bored silly watching me!
My parents were horrible people, they might be looking down with a very critical eye!

The current thread on the use of the word 'passing' (for died) has made me think of a term I hear a lot.
So many times I hear people say "I know my dad/mum will be looking down on me and they will be so proud" etc..
Honest question, does anyone actually believe this? If so, do you believe that relatives who have died are watching you all the time, or at key moments only? I always wonder!
