Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but its dry here in brackley this morning.
My usual routine today using the bus to Bicester ,and also visit the local Fish & Chip shop.
Health wise have been suffering with my legs but able to walk at a easy pace .
Yesterdays earwax removal , the person is going to contact my GP as there seems to be a slight problem with left ear despite wax removal seems better since I been using the Sodium Bicarbonate removal ear wax as to previous use of olive oil .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning everyone from mid Essex where it’s mild and dull. Not sure what the weather will do today, but need to go to the Farm shop for fruit & veg, then perhaps do a bit of tidying in the garden.
Yesterday I saw a consultant about a possible replacement hip, have to wait for a date for the operation, hope it’s not too long.
Happy Birthday nannyjan, I hope you have a lovely day. grandmabatty your birthday celebrations sound delightful.
fgt I think the weather in Ibiza is telling you that it’s time to go home! Pleased you’ve had an enjoyable holiday!
Thoughts to all who are feeling poorly or have anxieties.

Morning, dry, windy and cooler.
Happy Birthday NannyJan 🎂🥳🎉.
I hope the children are extra good Susan
I saw the chiropractor yesterday, never been before, after an hour I was pronounced ‘very flexible, hips and knees are good’ but my gluteus medius is tight and the bottom of my spine, exercises to do. A new experience.
Today must return some shoes to M&S and pick up a few edible goodies, family here Sunday.
Is it covid Bonny?

Good morning everyone from a very dull and overcast Northampton, maybe rain later.

Yesterday was busy housewise - bed changed and warmer duvet put on, bedding washed and dried on the line, a Sainsbury's delivery, bedrooms and stairs hoovered, and a huge Spanish pork casserole made in the slow cooker, which was delicious last night. Three portions to go in the freezer, plus a lovely soup.

Three dance classes this morning, then will have a quick change of clothes afterwards before hopping on the bus to the shops for my top-up shop. Will have a coffee in M&S.
Lazy today so have got a Sainsbury's Chinese chicken curry in the fridge for dinner tonight.

Happy birthday 🎂 NannyJan! 🍾🎂💐

Have a pleasant Friday everyone.

Good morning from Lancashire where the forecast is for a cloudy day. It feels chilly this morning.

No plans for today.

Grammaretto Fri 20-Sept-24 08:09:11

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Misty again here.
Volunteer shift at the Storehouse this morning and setting up the studio for open studios/houses this afternoon.
My house will be open for an exhibition this weekend and next.
Tonight I have a friend coming for supper and DS may come too.

Luckily I have a young German helper for a couple of weeks who has said she'll wash floors and vacuum
while I'm out!
I also sat outside yesterday chatting with friends and falling asleep once they'd gone. I missed a U3A meeting but all that vitamin D is more important.

I'm so glad you found a better optician gMattie such a difference.

I hope all those in pain and with troubles have relief.
Enjoy the weekend everyone.

Grey skies and thundery rain forecast for today so oldies’ coffee morning and then back to clothes sorting. I definitely have too many especially of the too small variety and must stop deluding myself about the chance of wearing them again. Making the decision is one thing, actually getting things to a charity shop is another.

Hope the day goes well for travellers and child minders and that the poorly feel better soon.

Good morning from another cloudy Suffolk. Yesterday the sun didn’t appear til about 4pm and I expect something similar today.

I had a glorious day yesterday with my dear friend….over 4 hours of chatting, coffee and lunch and walking by the beach which our Australian SiL says is as good as Bondi beach.

Today I’m meeting another friend for lunchin our favourite pub in our nearest small market town. Because of family visits etc we haven’t met up for 4 weeks now when we usually get together every 10 days or so. Another marathon but delightful time ahead.

DH is very tolerant of my socialising. We are off to Majorca on Monday on holiday so he can have my undivided attention!

Birthday best wishes to NannyJan and hope those feeling unwell have the best day possible.

Good morning all from a dull Severnside. I mustn’t forget to bring in the outdoor cushions before the rain starts. I doubt they’ll be out much if at all after this morning.

Happy Birthday NannyJan 🎂🎉

I’m not doing a weekly shop this week. I’ve plenty of things here to eat so I’ll go swimming this morning instead. I’m hoping it will cheer me up a bit as I’ve been feeling a little gloomy the last few days.

Have a good day all ☔️🌺

Morning Mick, morning All. A cloudy start to our corner of Somerset. Storms due later.

Plodded through the admin yesterday and began the car insurance renewal trawl. We’d like to stay with our current insurer, just need their renewal quote which is apparently a week away. Sigh. Not sure we’ll wait. Wandered out for a walk along the riverbank before lunch for a stretch and to enjoy the sun.

Coffee with neighbours this morning and TaiChi this afternoon will make for a decent day here.

A very happy birthday nannyjan.

Safe travels to all on the move, thoughts to all managing I’ll health and a hope Friday is kind to us all.

Good morning Mick and everyone from Carlisle where it is rapidly clouding over.
Yesterday was another lovely sunny day. After a round of jobs in the morning, the early afternoon was spent in the garden. T-shirt weather! I planted a few bulbs and then set about my fruit and veg border which needed a good weeding. My foxgloves have seeded furiously over it and the seedlings need a thorough hoeing out or I shall have a lot of overcrowded wimpy plants next year. I am already thinking of spring and what to grow in my limited space. Peas, certainly, as it's the only way to get fresh ones but my potatoes were rubbish and the runner beans were thoroughly destroyed by this year's rampant slugs.

Today, I'm off shortly for a dental checkup and a look at a possible problem with one of my big molars. I'd dread having that removed but I suspect it's a gum problem. I'll also visit the M&S food hall for some weekend treats. Then home to a few chores and a read of my new book. It's like a brand new copy but I got it for a quarter of the cover price in a charity shop. It's a page turner, exciting but the sort of book I never pay full whack for or keep so it will be back to another charity shop.

Happy Birthday NannyJan, have a good one!

And I hope you feel better as the day goes on Marydoll. So frustrating for you.

Gingster Fri 20-Sept-24 08:53:25

Good morning all and it’s overcast but due to have sunshine late morning, which is lucky as we’ll be meeting our Friday friends and hopefully sit out on the patio. We haven’t seen them for a couple of weeks , so lots of catching up. There are 9 of us, so it will be nice to hear about each others ‘doings’.

Liberty you are indeed the social butterfly 🦋. I hope you’ll be able to fit me in when I’m next up your way. 😂. Have a lovely holiday with your dh.

Yesterday Dd and little DGD came after school , had tea and then went to Brownies. Dd is still keeping ‘well’ , due to the steroids. I worry about if and when she’ll be off them.🤔.

Happy birthday NannyJan 💐
Hope you feel better as the day wears on Marydoll.💐
GG Hyde Hall is always popular with the children and we are due to have sunshine after 11 o’clock so go for it. .

I hope the day is ‘good’ for you all. 🌻

Taichinan Fri 20-Sept-24 09:07:47

A later good morning to all this morning. It's a grey damp day here on the Angus coast and I'm off to the dentist soon. 'Nuff said already!
Have a good day everyone - and Nannyjan, have a happy birthday x

TillyTrotter Fri 20-Sept-24 09:22:46

Good morning everyone, it’s cloudy and cooler here on the hillside in south Glos.
Happy birthday Nannyjan, have a lovely day!
In anticipation of the weather today and tomorrow I have done an hour of bits in the garden, battened down the garden furniture that’s under wraps and added the used compost from the pots I emptied onto the borders.
I am now going to spend the morning in my ‘shed’ sorting out my needlework and listening to an Anthony Horowitz audiobook.
Let’s hope that the weather isn’t too bad!
Have a lovely day everyone 🌹

aggie Fri 20-Sept-24 09:26:28

Good Morning from a sunny chilly Co Armagh
Art class this am , first of the season , it will be a catch up on friends we haven’t seen since last class , pay our fees , and look with dismay at my brushes that I keep meaning to take care of !

A late good morning from South Lanarkshire with a happy birthday to Nannyjan and a belated one to Grandmabatty.

Sorry your feeling out of sorts Marydoll and that your troubling cough still persists baubles

Georgesgran, I was concerned when you were talking about your problems with Sky because I had already started to change my Broadband etc to them and I am at screaming point with their chaotic communication and clarity or rather lack of.
I am having to pull out of a long arranged lunch with former colleagues this morning and I am fit to be tied as they say.
A combination of their poor communication and my eighty year old brain is an absolute disaster!
It actually looks as if the whole process is not going to be completed till mid October! How can that be??

I know ‘there are worse losses at sea’ but right now I’m mad!🥺

Good wishes all.
