I did know GM !

Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark and wet outside here in brackley at the moment .
Today will do my bus trip to Bicester as per usual ,I am also getting someone to look at putting a smart meter in , but I still prefer to take a weekly read and keep a formula as to usage .
May watch some cycling on TV .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a very dark, wet and dismal East Midlands. The rain has been torrential yet again. Will we ever see the sun again?
Good morning all!
It's 16.1 C. here in Appleby, very cold, pouring with rain and windy and I absolutely LOVE it!
I've just been to a cafe where I indulged in a slice of strawberry cheesecake and a hot chocolate with cream and mini marsh mallows and OMG they were gorgeous!
Have a good one all of you!
A very wet Co. Durham. I’m cycling to nowhere again.
I’m feeling slightly redundant. Dgd arrived not needing breakfast and disappeared to the bathroom to do her hair. Then off to walk to school on her own. After five years of escorting her three times a week !!
I’m due my RSV jab shortly so am interested in seeing how others have fared.
Dinner out tonight so it’s another lazy day for me. Where has my got up and go gone?
Hope those under the weather feel better soon, and those out and about stay dry.
Needs must and all that LLFL but I still think you were very brave! I’d have had to wake up dear husband … 😱
Eek … I came down for breakfast and the cats had very helpfully left a dead rat 🐀 on the kitchen floor. Now, I’ve cleared up small and big birds, a squirrel and mice but NEVER a rat! My stomach was heaving as I manoeuvred it into a carrier bag and put it in the outside bin. Of course I couldn’t leave it for OH. He doesn’t come down until nearly 11 am.

A later good morning from a very wet Northampton, the forecast is heavy rain for the rest of the day. My yoga friend is on grandma duties today, so I decided in this weather to give yoga a miss. I shall miss the company, but not the wet walk to and from the bus-stop!
Luckily the rain eased off yesterday afternoon for me to get into town and the cinema in the dry. I thoroughly enjoyed Miss Saigon, had never seen it before, and the singing and acting were excellent. I must admit to a tear at the end... The film was so long, over three hours, that I managed two G&Ts! Unfortunately heavy rain had returned by the time we got out so it was a wet walk back to the bus stop.
No plans for today, and I am sitting here wondering what I am going to do with myself for the rest of the day, and like others feel it must be time to swap the summer and winter wardrobes.
Also need to rummage in the freezer for dinner tonight.
Hope poorly feeling people soon feel better, and that holiday travellers have a wonderful time, and that the rest of us have a pleasant day.
Morning from my bit of South Lanarkshire, very grey but dry.
Chair yoga this morning followed by lunch with former colleagues, first after the summer ‘break’, I’m looking forward to both events.
I hope you find the help you need soon Susan, it’s an awful worry for you and a hard time for your mum. You are a good daughter💐
That’s disappointing about the bread maker grandMattie, it’s something I have been contemplating myself. I hope you find a solution.
I read Pittcitys message yesterday and wish her all the best.
Have the best day possible everyone.
Ooh Maw I love that chair and cushion. I’d love to sit in it if it would take my weight! The legs don’t look sturdy enough? Unlike my own …
Just now.
My stepfather wrote me a cheque yesterday for his groceries from our larder that he’d asked me to get. We have a joint account and Himself, rather than just taking it down in the lift to our bank below us decided to try new technology. He photographed the cheque, followed instructions and the money is in our bank now! I’m impressed and also by him, that he’s always keen to try new ideas. I couldn’t be bothered ..

* They do say ‘opposites attract’. We are chalk and cheese in so many ways!
Good morning Mick and All from a soggy South Bucks.
Yes Bellasnana it was totally the Lavers Cup in our household this weekend. What fab tennis. 🎾
Sorry to hear Kitty how you have reacted to the jab. I reacted to the Shingles but not the RSV.
Off to the dentist today.
Good morning all from another grey day on the Angus coast. No rain though - that's reserved for Wednesday and Thursday.
I had a very good night's sleep last night - if a little short at only 5 hours. I'm experimenting with not going to bed before I feel really ready for it - last night that was 2am. But I was asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow and slept like a log until 7.30. I actually feel very rested, so maybe this is the way to go. I'm also sitting here next to my SAD lamp, trying to get ahead of the winter blues which I feel sure are imminent after five solid days of grey! Susan I'm so sorry about your mum. Such a worry, but I hope the moral support of your brother will help.
Marydoll
Enjoy your holiday on Kos, Sar. My son's just back from two weeks in Crete, which he said was unusually hot and humid for this time of year.
I love reading about everybody's busy-ness. Today I intend to be busy too, but we'll see 😉
Enjoy your day, and keep dry x
Good Morning from a dull but dry Co Armagh, we have been spared the awful rain so far
It was nice to see the sun yesterday, we sat out but I think the patio furniture will be packed away soon
Hoping to enjoy a coffee and a walk round a NT garden this morning, I love to visit at the different seasons
Thoughts with our poorly friends x
Grey and dismal but we seem to have escaped the worst of the downpours and my sympathies are with those badly affected. Gardener due this afternoon, weather permitting, and discussion group who have been reading two books about Julian of Norwich which have proved quite challenging to the modern mind. Stay dry if possible, everyone.
Good morning from wet and windy N Bucks.
A few roads are closed around us and a friend in a nearby village is currently marooned upstairs as her cottage has flooded yet again as have a few others in her village so I don’t know why I’m complaining. Except I do not cope well emotionally with material things going wrong! Paw was not a DIY person at all, but was always pragmatic and calm, a reassuring presence.
So another bad night with a washing up bowl strategically placed. A pretty Victorian chair which was in the corner of the room has had its seat cushion soaked before I realised but I hope once it dries out it isn’t ruined.
The cinema was good yesterday (apart from an unexpected detour because a road had been closed by flooding which made me late) and my glass of Merlot went flying as I tried to take my coat off - saved nearly a quarter but I was sorry as that was my “treat”!
My thoughts are with those in pain or poorly and anybody experiencing real flooding - who’d have thought our “Indian summer” would turn out a monsoon.
Good morning all from a very wet Black country we have had over 30hrs nonstop rain.
No plans but sure I will find something to keep me occupied.
Hope those feeling under par after their jabs begin to feel better as the day progresses.
Safe travels those on the move look out for the floods.
Have the best day you can everyone ☀️
Good morning from a grey and drizzly NE.
Nothing planned for today. I was up early to unlock the rear gate for the window cleaner.
Yesterday was a day in front of the TV as no visitors.
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning everyone from a damp but mild south Manchester. Alexa says we are forecast showers (not a mega storm apparently) and a high of 16°C.
We will be doing bits and bobs today. Pack a grip bag for Málaga tomorrow, nip into Boots downstairs and prepare the main room for the decorator who is coming while we are away.
Hope today goes well Yia and the family wedding Pantsglas.
Morning, steady rain in S Hants, I think is here for the day.
Sounds delightful Sar.
Hopefully you’ll improve through the day gMattie
Yes, adult social services Susan56 sadly 🌹
Lovely get together with family, the food was demolished and leftovers happily taken.
Today is voluntary phone, library to get a two week loan back, then quiz.
🦩🦩
Morning Mick, morning All from a soggy corner of Somerset. Yesterdays rain has been followed by more rain overnight and is forecast for the day. Lucky us!
A surprisingly decent day yesterday. Mr C persuaded me a breakfast bap was a good idea so off we went in a downpour, re-fuelled we picked up odds and ends before returning to yet more sorting. All very gentle. I was in total shock when Mr C evicted a good ten pairs of aged socks with no ‘encouragement’ (aka if you don’t do it I will) from me, goodness where will it lead?
Physio this morning to get some respite from neck and head pain, lunch on the way back before tackling our car insurers. If they can’t/won’t produce a renewal quote we’re going elsewhere. Really busy time ahead, better to have this sorted now.
I’m sorry you’re feeling under the weather post jab grandmattie and the lesters. I opted out of this one for now, many and various reasons, our surgery will offer again in a few months.
Stay dry everyone. Hope Monday is kind to us all.
Thank you for the advice Marydoll.Social Services aren’t involved so will try finding contact details. Its such a sad situation💔
Good morning all and it’s wet here in Essex (I did put a curse on us, saying we have very little rain here).🙄.
I’ll be picking DGD up and taking her to school this morning as Dd has a hospital appointment at 10. 🙏.
Music and memories this afternoon will cheer us all up on a wet miserable Monday .
Hope you feel better GM, Marydoll and all others feeling under the weather (literally). 🙏
Have a lovely holiday Sar .
Take care and keep dry if you can .
Good morning all from a, currently, dry North Leicestershire. We have yet more rain in the forecast.
Yesterday I made soip and a sausage casserole and then felt so ill that I sat under a blanket for the rest of the day. DH had felt ill too. We are also putting it down to our RSV jabs, GM.
Today, I have to collect some trousers from M&S. I hope I can get out of the village and that there are no floods.
Good morning from a bright W Kent. Heavy rain overnight woke DH but as I am deaf I heard nothing. Cleaner coming this morning and I shall start packing for a few days away starting the end of the week.
Best wishes
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. It is dry so far.
My friend and her teenage son arrived yesterday and will stay until
their flooded kitchen has been restored. Her DH and the dog are camping at their place to watch over the workmen.
I had a lot of visitors and buyers to my open pottery studio at the weekend.
Today will be busy too. I am going to tackle attic clearance. I have a volunteer Helper here for another week.
Sorry you are below par gMattie
Pity about the airfryer too.
I've given away lots of gadgets. I'm back to my faithful gas hob, electric oven and microwave.
The breadmaker, juicer, big cake mixer, toastie maker have all gone, unmissed.
Enjoy your holiday Sar it sounds lovely.
Hope everyone has a good day.
