Morning all, it’s grey and I think we will have rain ☔️

I shall cook off the tomato chutney I prepared yesterday, DD and boys will be here for a late lunch (Roast Pork)

The Imp is in her bad books, whilst DD was busy yesterday morning he rang 999 five times to ask the police to arrest his brother as he was annoying him The police officer who spoke DD was very understanding, I guess she had children!

We were torn between laughter, being cross and amazed that at four he was able to do it!

Good morning Mick and everyone from a rather grey Carlisle.
Yesterday afternoon turned rainy so I stayed in, baking a cake and reading mostly plus a session of de-rusting my Spanish.
I also had a session of researching next year's holidays, can't make my mind up about two proposed destinations and how far to dip into my piggy bank. I do my best to curb the reckless side of me and remind myself that my reserves need to hold out until my centenary! A little way off yet.

Today is my quiet day, eventually my watch will start nagging me to do better! I don't let it get to me, I am the boss of my time. I have the papers to finish and an ever-growing pile of magazines to start on. Plus, I am going to start sorting through my summer clothes. I'm starting the switch to warmer wear. Summer has been so disappointing, I've barely worn a lot of things.

Good morning from a sunny N Norfolk. Enjoyable day out yesterday pottering around the coast and lunch at Castle Rising. We have booked for lunch today at a local pub otherwise pretty lazy.

Good morning from a grey Glasgow although the sun is now peeping through!
A nice shopping day yesterday by myself….gave into temptation with some nice new autumn wear….oh dear will now need to get the charity bags filled again to make space! 😜
A quiet day today apart from church which is having a cafe style service….will be interesting to see how it works and if it manages to draw in some new faces ….hope so! 🤞🏻
Our new minister has lots of fresh ideas. Our old congregation needs young blood!

Good morning from an overcast NE.
Slept late this morning after DS and GD2's visit yesterday.
We had a lovely chatty time and GD told me that she is now the singer in the school rock band. I know she will really enjoy it, her Dad and Aunt were both in rock bands when they were younger.
She showed me the score for Chicago and the Hungarian that she has to learn for her dialogue.
After dinner GD played the piano and her Dad played the banjo and then they played together, they got the violin out and played that too. It was lovely to hear them playing together.
GD1 has settled well at university and gets on with her flatmates, she visited her BF at his university last weekend and he is at hers this weekend. Photos on WhatsApp of them dining out and cocktails, poor students 🤔
Quiet day for me, enough food left to just reheat dinner, sofa and novel will be top of my list.

Good morning from cloudy but dry chilly Cambs.
We are just having a lazy quiet day today. Hoping I may be able to get the last of the holiday washing sorted and packed away as won’t be needed until next year now.
My shopping spree with my sister went well yesterday and the charity sow in the evening was very good.

gg13, my Philip used to do that. A severe talking to (without my presence) did nothing. A couple of times, we went out just after one of his 999 calls and the fire brigade came, much to our neighbour’s amusement. I was mortified.

Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers northwest coast.
I turned up for the art group on Friday, having missed a couple because of the bad back. It was so nice to be welcomed so heartily, they hadn’t expected to see me before Christmas as I have my hernia op next week. Concentration crap, but the chat and coffee very nice. I’ll rework the acrylic painting.

Yesterday into the nearby dunes, sun and showers. Nice walk, masses of purple Michaelmas daisies, dragonflies and autumn colours.
Today into the city by train for lunch at favourite restaurant with old pianist friend. A look into a quirky antique shop, books and many strange objects.

Just sitting with a coffee after an early start with dgd1 and ds2 staying here overnight. Cooked breakfast and a nice chat and off they went , their different ways. Walked the dog and now I’m chilling.

We all visited gs yesterday who is still bed-ridden but looked quite perky. We took lots of goodies and chatted for a while until he looked tired.

Today a quiet day 🤞. Not sure what dinner will be but it doesn’t matter as it’s just Dh and me.

I’ll read my book this afternoon
