Do you wear slippers or shoes ins ide or bare feet? We have always worn s li ppers. They are so much warmer than sh oes or bare feet.

Absolutely not.
I would never get that close to a spider, because I'm afraid of them.m

Please don't stamp on spiders! Large glass over them and slide a piece of card under - release outside. Oh and we do wear shoes inside, I am not comfy in bare feet or slippers all day. Happy to remove my shoes in someone else's house but wouldn't want to wear a pair of provided slippers !!!

HA HA HA! I love his humour!

I'm a bare footer, the second I come home off comes my shoes!

I find footwear to to be uncomfortable and restrictive. I don't like socks or tights either.

I go barefoot in public too when possible, when it's raining heavily and the pavements are slabs and smooth the lovely cold and wet under my feet is magnificent!

I used to run around in bare feet sadly I can’t do that anymore due tothe stroke I had a few years ago. I’ve got the loveliest healed shoes I bought from Pavers they are so comfortable I’ve even slept with them I’ve also got pavers slip on mules which I can chose to wear or not depending, if I’m going out it’ll be the shoes

She'll be quite safe then LaCrepuscule!

Crocs are worn by the young and considered trendy according to my 20-something daughter Aveline!

Bare feet in the summer if I feel warm .
But as soon as it turns chilly socks and crocks and then later in the evening slippers .
And socks to bed .
My feet hurt in the winter .

Please don’t think I’m being rude - I’m not, I’m just interested - why do you want to know?

Just idle curiosity! Both of our daughters go barefoot or socks! My feet are too cold for either!

Nothing wrong with idle curiosity or the more active kind.
I wear shoes or nothing (on my feet) since you ask.grin

Woolly hand knitted (by me) socks and Birkenstocks, never bare feet I’d be too cold, even in summer.
Let’s hear it for idle curiosity!

My dear son in law calls wearing Crocs contraceptive! Just a (ghastly)thought grin

Slippers. Just bought these gorgeous Croc slippers and would wear them outside if I could!

Cosy sheepskin slippers all year round.

Me too! Nothing like sheepskin.

Shoes or slippers

Bare feet in summer, slippers in winter. I have sliders by the back door to pop out into the garden in.
I like guests to remove their outdoor shoes when visiting.

Slippers always and when it’s cold, socks as well.

Janetashbolt Mon 28-Oct-24 20:59:03

Bare feet indoors and out, only wear shoes outside from the garden gate

I wear whatever my fussy (but strong and healthy) feet demand I wear. Always have, always will. Stilettos and pointy toes can go to hell. I've never understood the attraction of such damaging footwear.

i always wore ballerina slippers until i got plantar fasciitis, the physio said that was the cause of it so on advise i have to wear what my son calls granny slippers with a thick heel, they also need to be velcro fastening due to lymphedema. the physio also said the damage would have started years ago because i went about in bare feet.

I used to go bare foot a lot when I was young - in and out -but now I use slippers or shoes indoors depending on what I'm doing.

JamesandJon33 Tue 01-Oct-24 11:09:24

colliemum Latest thing apparently, is closed toe Birkenstocks Boston, I think. With thick socks. We might become uber trendy,

colliemum Tue 01-Oct-24 09:00:01

Birkenstocks always, until it's too cold, then maybe crocs with socks.

rocketstop Tue 01-Oct-24 08:30:44

slipper boots in winter cos I'm always freezing ! Bare feet in summer ..when we get one !!

ruthie2 Tue 01-Oct-24 01:45:29

I'm obliged to go barefoot as I have oedema (swollen feet and ankles) and after 4 years I rather enjoy being barefoot. My feet are never cold. However I do have to nag visitors to leave their outdoor shoes in the hall and just wear their socks, as with the best will in the world they do tend to bring in bits of grit or tiny pebbles.
Now perhaps someone will tell me an aesthetic alternative to wearing outdoor slippers (usually men's!) when I have to go out, as I can't get my feet into anything else!

Barefoot? Only in hot climates. Here we have slippers. So miss 70s shag pile.
