Good morning all very belatedly from a grey Angus coast. Thank you so very much for all the Birthday messages - I've had such a lovely time. I am now officially 83 years old! For some reason I thought I was 83 last year so I've gained a bonus year of life 😁 and had a hilarious (to those around us 😉) conversation with a friend of the same vintage as we did the maths to prove that no, we are not 84 this year!
Anyway, whatever the age I'm celebrating, lunch out with DGD1 was lovely. She's the one who I used to call Dancing GD but since achieving her degree she has said she doesn't want to take dance any further so I can't call her that any more sadly. She'll find her way eventually I'm sure, but I do worry for her.
The drive across to Perth was beautiful yesterday. As you say grandmattie, the trees are rapidly changing and the beech trees are that beautiful shade of russet now. So glorious and heart-warming as the sun catches them. Like you, I hope the autumn storms stay away long enough for us to appreciate them fully!
A very happy 47th to Mr and Mrs Doll - happy memories, and more to make. Your new PP sounds lovely, by the way, and will make all the work you do for the parish so much more pleasant.
So sorry for your ongoing concerns about your mums, Susan and Grandmabatty
and about your own health, Mick and Bonnybanko
Keep on enjoying the lovely sunny warmth FGT and Sar - it's so lovely to hear about.
Have a lovely day everyone, wherever you are x
