Perhaps a small chamber orchestra in the corner MissAdventure and you could lie in your four poster surrounded by banks of flowers and sobbing family members and old retainers.
My husband didn’t have any music playing when he died but he did pick the music for his funeral. He was part of a ukulele band and they played his favourite tune Irish Rover as his coffin came into the church and Up Up and Away as he left.
If I was dying, Gabriel's Oboe by Morricone played by Hauser. At my funeral Benedictus from The Armed Man by Carl Jenkins, maybe the Morricone again, and Bob Marley, Everything's Gonna Be Alright as a finale.
If I am exiting this world rather than choosing music for my funeral I think I would go with a instrumental piece, either Albatross by Fleetwood Mac or Allegri's Miserere, the latter has such haunting Soprano pieces, best sung by young choir boys, perhaps will have both, after all I am popping my clogs.
