For fun! What sort of car would you be if you were a car?

I would have to be an old Jag like Morse drove - leather seats, walnut dash, in British racing green. A bit vintage but still good quality. Been around the block a few times but still going strong with a few tweeks here and there by the local mechanic.

Triumph Herald convertible. Black with white side flashes and red leather upholstery. Magic......

A soft top Jeep.

Pantglas2 Our Jazz is the same age, wonderful car as was the Civic before, Honda engines go on & on, as we both hope to 😂

What a wonderful collection of cars! Can you imagine all the very different types all parked next to each other?! That would indeed be a splendid sight. Thank you for sharing.

Ha, I'd be an old banger...Looks ok when done up , shiny, ready to go out, but the rest of the time, shows it's age. Difficult to start on winter mornings, and a bit of a fuel guzzler.Vintage vehicle, quite rare but full of happy memories !!!

A Golf ... my car 😂

No contest!

With my love of vintage I would be one of those wonderful old vintage cars from the 1920s or 1930s. Something like a Hispano Suiza, with a very luxurious interior and of course a uniformed chauffeur.

I would be a taxi. This is because I would have different people dropping in to see me all day long. A nice cure for my loneliness.

A Citroën Dyane - they are always called Mummy's cars in our house.

I would be the car I dreamt of owning when I passed my driving test in 1966. A powder blue Triumph Spitfire. I did end up with a Triumph car but it was a Herald. Not quite what I had hoped for.

I'd like to think of myself as a Porsche, but am more likely to be an old Mini.

LauraNorderr Mon 14-Oct-24 10:39:52

I think I’m a minimoke, practical, utility, but loads of fun in the sand dunes!

In my head? An Aston Martin, so Daniel Craig might use me!

You are naughty 😂

A Landrover. Basic, no frills, functional, not afraid of getting dirty, always get to the destination. A bumpy ride, unexpected moments of alarm but also elation as I leave the beaten track.

Maybe not so comfortable for people going along for the ride but they know I wouldn't let them down despite that.

My 14year old Honda Jazz 🚘 so reliable, economical and has sailed first time through every MOT - bit like me really 🤣

Redhead56 Mon 14-Oct-24 10:05:23

My present car is the best I ever owned Fiat 500 X SUV it’s ergonomic seating is perfect. I bought it after my hip replacement and it’s so comfortable to sit in at a good height.

At the moment (I had a very sleepless night) probably a really clapped out old Morris Minor.

When feeling more sprightly, maybe a white open topped MGB with leather seats, like dh had in his bachelor days.

A Mini - as I'm only 5' nothing!

Me too! Plus I have a very soft spot for Minis.

teabagwoman Mon 14-Oct-24 09:15:25

I’d like to think I’d be a Rolls Royce but more realistically I’d be a jeep. Nothing to look at but good at plodding through rough terrain.

Babs03 Mon 14-Oct-24 09:02:44

When it comes to horse power I would rather be a horse. And am stupid when it comes to cars, can’t usually tell one from another.

VW Beetle, nippy, fun, bright and roundish

LaCrepescule Mon 14-Oct-24 08:39:28

A Fiat 500. My parents had one when I was a baby and the only thing that would stop me crying at night from colic was putting me in the car and driving around Sydney.
I’m going to buy an electric one soon as it’s perfect for my needs. A bit quirky, not flashy, loads of personality (how I like to see myself.)
