Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark with signs of wetness during the night ,at a guess it could be a misty start here in brackley .
Much of the usual routine , bus to Bicester ,although I am struggling sometimes as well as to movement .
Health wise sticking to usual routine , and hoping for more good days and not bad days .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from damp South Lanarkshire, there’s been overnight rain again.

Yesterday was quite productive, ironing was done, beds were changed, dogs were walked, crocheting was done, and DH made a very tasty beef stew. Another good day.

Today will involve a supermarket is all I know at the moment, oh and yarn group this evening.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 12° and dry. My windows are covered in condensation though. I'll get the dehumidifier on. Susan I love the crazy hairdo! GrandMattie enjoy your trip.
Yesterday I took dgs1 to a birthday party where he thoroughly enjoyed himself. He was well behaved and thanked the birthday boy's mum very nicely. The rest of the day I just pottered about.
Today I have no plans and feel a bit ropey. I suspect I have dgs2's cold. Oh well, a gentle day ahead. Have a good day all.

Good morning Mick and all. There's a large hole in the clouds above my house so I'm hoping that indicates a good day is coming 🤞. Yesterday, as with many of you it seems, was wall to wall rain, followed by mist.
Love your DGD's hairstyle Susan - what a great idea!
A delicious lunch with your friend Bonnybanko.
Enjoy the last day of your cruise Llfl - that seems to have passed quickly.
Looking forward to hearing where you're off to for your trip grandmattie.
I'm off to tai chi soon and must hang my washing out first. I hope everybody enjoys their day, travellers keep safe and the poorlies feel better x

Good morning everyone from south Manchester. It’s damp out (heavy rain last night) but it’s mild. Alexa tells meister currently 11°C and be sunny and 17°C later. Nice.

We are meeting Himself’s brother and his wife this morning for brunch, it’ll be good to see them. He has taken us to every single hospital appointment over 16 months. So very kind and supportive. Nothing planned for this afternoon. Netflix is my friend. Or my Kindle. Oh and I bought ‘Unleashed’ by Boris (well you’re not surprised I bet!) from our local bookshop on the way back from the dentist yesterday. 😁

Thank you for the comments on DGD’s hairstyle.

DD had the idea and styled DGD’s hair. Her only worry is she has set the bar high for next year!

Gingster she kept the balloons in until lunchtime when too many people wanted to play with her hair!

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞 Northampton, a fine day ahead, so the spare rooms' bedding is in the washing machine.

Spent some of yesterday trying to organise a coffee morning for neighbours and ex-neighbours; though I gave everyone a choice of seven dates, there wasn't one that all could attend! In the end I had to go for the one that the most people could make - which is not until the middle of next month. Gives me plenty of time to bake!

Sainsbury's delivery later this morning, and then it will be another afternoon of reading again. I am really enjoying my current book.

Fish and home-made chunky oven chips.for dinner.

Have a pleasant day everyone.

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where it is 12°C.

The Titanic Exhibition was very interesting yesterday, but I began to feel unwell during it. However, I didn't want to tell Mr MDoll and spoil it for him.

We had planned to explore Finnieston afterwards, but decided to go back into the city centre for lunch. My legs just wouldn't work.
After a delicious Chinese lunch, which I ended up handing ine over to DH, he asked if I would like a wander around the shops. The look on his face was priceless, when I declined! When have I ever refused a chance to shop?
All I wanted to do was go home. It was fortunate that we did, because I was floored by an attack of vertigo, complete with nausea.
Today will probably be a day in bed! I am wondering if this is the result of my 'flu and Covid vaccinations last week. There was I, thinking I had got off lightly.
I hope so, better than my heart being the reason for the vertigo again.

For those on holiday, enjoy and for those who are unwell, I hope you improve soon. brook, I hope the weather isn't too bad, it was snowing one of the times I walked the Wall!
Safe journey, Grandmattie, I seem to have missed you were going away.

Have a good day, folks.

Good morning from a sunny NE after 24 hours of rain.
SIL did some jobs for me yesterday, one of the kitchen spotlights needed replacing so he did that and removed some more unwanted stuff from the attic.
He found the jacket for the outside tap and put that on and located the WD40 and oiled the squeaky door hinges.
We were going to have our coffee but as we switched on the table lamps another bulb went.
DD is travelling to the UK this evening, I hope she is okay as she was poorly yesterday.
Have the best day you can.

Good Morning from a damp Co Armagh, at least it’s not raining , heading out to Mass soon
Yesterday was a great morning at the club , lots of squares for the scrap blanket were gathered , lots had been busy at home , next week I’ll take in more yarn and get others on board
Jabs yesterday , just achy arms if I go searching for the site ,
Hopefully a good day for everyone 💐

GrandmaC47 Thu 17-Oct-24 09:47:43

Sunny here in Co Durham. We’re off for our Covid jabs this morning, have to drive around 15 miles but a pleasant journey. We’ll have our flu jabs next week at a local walk in Pharmacy.
Safe travels to those on the move. Hope those under the weather feel better soon.
First Pilates class for three weeks tonight. Hope my jab doesn’t cause a problem 🫰.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. It's not raining but very soggy. The washing will have to dry inside I fear.
I've set my Helper to apple picking while I'm at yoga. He's tall and with a special long handled tool will be able to reach the high branches.

I keep telling people I am moving in
the Spring. So a plan is hatching.

Enjoy your Greek adventure sago
Happy travels those on the move and have a lovely day whatever you are up to.

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside 13° northwest coast. DS carried on doing jobs in the house yesterday as I convalesced. I seem to have lost nearly half a stone in a week with the teaspoons of puréed food. It’s not a nice sensation when it’s going down and decides it’s going no further…

DS suggested a delicate drive in the car today, not sure about that, but it’s good to do things, however small.

Flying DD is in the Maldives and it looks so beautiful. Her house has steps straight down into a beautiful turquoise sea.
Ah well, time for my painkillers.
Your health is a bother Mick, great photo Susan and thoughts to all with troubles 🌺

Good morning, Michael12 and everyone!

Last night I didn't scare myself with my own shadow as I did before! I was clever this time and left a can of fizz on my bedside table!

It's 13.9C here in little Appleby. Had gorgeous torrential rain most of the day yesterday and last night, I loved it!

I was in the local chemist this morning, still really rough with the bug but while I wasn't sneezing I'd had hacking coughing fits again but was trying not to ''overly'' cough while in the queue. I was however wheezing really noisily and the man stood behind me, who I don't know, about 20 to my 59 said ''It sounds like you've got a herd of Boeing 747's creating a crop circle in your chest!''

He made me laugh ... which then started off a overly-loud and painful coughing fit! HA!

Marydoll I hardly ever post but I have been lurking for a while.
Just wanted to say how sorry I am that you are so unwell. I do admire how you push yourself all the time. Really hope that you are feeling better soon xx

We all admire your fortitude and courage, Marydoll. You are a great example to those of us who make heavy weather of lesser ailments

Thank you, but it's nothing but sheer bloody mindedness, which keeps me going!
I know that there are posters on GN, who have much more to contend with than I, but don't post about it.💐
