Good morning to everyone from Staffordshire. The sun is shining although it’s quite chilly.
Going out for a walk around Shugborough NT later this morning. I shall spend the afternoon working on my jigsaw and starting this month’s Book club book.

Good morning from N Bucks where it is gloriously sunny and the Autumn colours really wonderful.
I was zonked when I got back from Paris on Tuesday night - a sad reflection on ageing I fear- and overslept yesterday making it all a bit of a rush to get Rosie from kennels- which is why I didn’t post. However having read all of yours yesterday and today . Mick I agree with all the advice to please talk to your Colorectal nurse/team, as tap water in Brackley is unlikely to have caused your recent upset- it may be you have picked up a bug eating or drinking out , in which case a specimen might be needed or your medication adjusted. Don’t ignore it
I have coughed my way through the night mostly propped up and feeling rubbish. Throat like razor blades, headache and sneezing - I hope it’s just a filthy French cold but I need to get some Covid tests (I discovered mine are 2 years out of date!) Of course I am out of cough syrup/lozenges etc too so have had to make do with mainlining the old Lemsip.
I don’t think I feel like carpeing the diem so offer this instead with kind thoughts to all who are poorly.

I have an empty so may go supermarketing as I need fresh fruit and veg. Am keeping an anxious eye on the field at the back but the cattle are only showing a passing interest in the fence repair so am just hoping it will hold until it can be replaced. Something else to worry about! Meanwhile it looks as though we will have another nice half day at least so will make the most of it.

Good morning Mick and everyone from bright, dry Carlisle.

Yesterday I wasn't going to waste another lovely day by stopping in, I went to the big garden centre across the city. Finally, I managed to get the plants I've been looking for, and some I hadn't been!My mistake in wafting past the conifer area...I have a weakness for them. Now to find a space for them...
After lunch I was out in the garden planting the heathers and tulip bulbs I'd got.
Today, after some necessary cleaning and maybe ironing, I must crack on with some pressing admin. Life seems to need more and more of it.

There's a lot of jabbing going on amongst you all! I must organise mine but I didn't want to be off-colour before taking my car in for its service tomorrow plus I'm struggling to get rid of a mild cold I must have picked up on the train.

Good morning and it’s bright and the forecast is no rain today.
Yesterday said the same but it rained on and off all morning.

Yesterday was busy but very nice seeing my lovely girl and her baby. He was very good in the restaurant and his mum was able to eat her lunch in peace.

Last evening I had a free taster for a local choir which I really enjoyed. The teacher is a youngish man who plays guitar to accompany us and he is brilliant. I will definitely join.

Today I have bowls club and then an afternoon in. Dd and little DGD will come in after school, have tea and then we’ll take her to Brownies.

Your dh sounds just like mine MD . He hasn’t been ‘right’ since his TIA during lock down and is gradually declining. Will he see the doc! Of course not! 😤.

Good morning Mick and All. As there are 26 of you ahead of me I will have to write before reading I'm afraid - although I did notice your lovely photo with the twins as I scrolled down Bellasnana. What a joy they are to you.
A really busy day yesterday doing housework - obviously the novelty factor, because I found it quite enjoyable 😉. Then right at the last minute I remembered I had to go for my covid and flu boosters - at 4.53 pm precisely! - so had to dash to the car and down the road. Two neighbours were ahead of me - with exactly the same precise appointment time. Anyway, job done and only slightly achy arms to show for it.
DGD3 is coming for lunch and a walk on the beach followed by a Chinese meal. I just hope I have the energy for all that after tai chi this morning!

Yesterday met DGD2 for lunch in town as she has a 2 hour gap between lectures at lunchtime. So hard to believe she is almost and adult, seems yesterday she was a little girl.

Upsetting news that my cousin has to have Chemo after her Op. Had a long phone chat and she seems quite pragmatic about it. Will go and visit her next week with Mum.

Over to Mums today, take her food shopping and an appointment this afternoon for wax removal from her ears.

Good morning from a bright and sunny Suffolk after a similar day yesterday.

I have my stretch class soon and then our COVID and flu jabs. Normally I have a sore arm . DH never has any reaction. This must be at least my 7th COVID jab and,apart from a sore arm,I’ve been fine afterwards. I remember being very tired for 24 hours after the first one however.

Hoping that doesn’t happen again as we have our Bristol tribe coming at the weekend and that means 4 beds to make up as well as vast amounts of food to have at hand.

DGS1,aged 15,thinks nothing of having 6 crumpets following a huge 2 course dinner.

Hope today has some sunshine in it for all.

Yoga this morning and the gas man is delivering gas for my pottery firings.

After lunch the 2 smallest DGC are coming here to play. What with 2 weeks half term and 2 weeks school strike action, DD is needing some respite.
I hope that Marydoll and Hollysteers have better days and that everyone has some joy today.

OH and I might be going to look at cars today for me! He has a big 4x4 so he can fit his shooting stuff and bee equipment in it. I have a little city car which is on its last legs! I might get something the same or maybe something different.

OH needs to finish his woodpecker guards for his bee hives. I’m not sure when that’s happening. Because of the medication he takes he can’t really get going until late morning/after lunch. It’s frustrating for him, but there we are.

I think I mentioned yesterday that my brother in Australia has medical problems again. He told me the other day that the first thing he thinks of when he wakes in the morning is when he can go back to bed!

Good morning Michael and all GNs from a rather grey South Yorkshire but it is dry. Writers group was good fun yesterday. We all had something new to put on the table. I bought myself a new fairisle sweater while I was out. Came home and cooked a steak and dauphinois potatoes for my tea. Don’t eat steak very often but enjoyed the treat. DS rang for a chat in the evening and I phoned a friend to arrange to meet her next week.
Walking this morning. I expect there’ll be mud. Then lunch with DD and GS who will be at home today.

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow where it is 11°C and very dark.
A restless night means, I have awoken with a headache.

A sedentary day yesterday, attempting to set up Mr MD's
new phone. It took hours, due to his lordship's failure to co-operate and take advice. I will not bore you with a novella, but here are two examples, two of many:

I insisted that he ensure both phones were fully charged, before we started. Were they, of course not! I foolishly assumed that he had done so. The transfer failed half way, the battery was flat on his old one.

He needed his Microsoft password, but offered me three different ones. Now anyone, who has had to change a Microsoft password will know that if you change it, it impacts on all sorts of things. Of course it was Microsoft's fault.😉

I could feel my chest getting tighter with the sheer frustration of it all.

All joking aside, I have noticed changes in DH's behaviour recently. Feelings of deja vu, relating to both my parents and MIL. There are subtle changes and his memory is definitely failing. If I try to broach the subject, he gets angry.

We have Babydoll today. I haven't been able to look after her recently. DH is in charge, but can he be trusted?
He will take her a walk to the farm ten minutes away, where there are three horses in the field and I will rest. I hope the large, black bull in the field behaves himself in front of her. 😉

Mick, no more procrastinating. You need to speak to your medical team and get checked out. Given your medical history, you are being very foolish. I understand that you may be worried, posters are very concerned about you.

Grannyivy, I was so sad to read about your DGD. Young girls can be so cruel. I despise bullies. I hope things improve.

Good morning from Cambridgeshire. It is 8 degrees but forecast a sunny 17 degrees today. I’m hoping I will feel well enough to get out and do those gardening jobs later. Our colds are lingering on … I won’t get to Pilates today 🙈

The gasman is coming to service the boiler and the man from the Council is coming to inspect a very large leylandi tree that is actually in our neighbours garden but causes us lots of problems! Our neighbour is currently refusing to have it cut back or cut down. It has been an annoyance for years. As it is now part of a large hedge and a change to guidelines of what is acceptable we may have some rights. Keeping our fingers crossed.

Good morning everyone from a still dark Northampton; Alexa says it will be a fine dry sunny day. Hair appointment this morning which is why I'm up earlier!

Got most of my jobs done yesterday, except for hoovering upstairs, which will have to wait . Instead I got the front grass cut and all the leaves cleared from the drive, which filled a wheelie bin.

Sainsbury's delivery this afternoon, and planning on cutting the back grass.
Fish and home-made chunky oven chips for dinner tonight.
