Good morning from south Glos, I have no idea what the weather’s like!
Off to art group later, I have no idea what I will be doing as my art mojo ran away some time ago 🤷🏼‍♀️. It will be nice to see everyone there and have a good natter.
I hope today goes well for you all 🌹

Good morning from Shropshire where a dull and dry day is forecast.

Yesterday was spent catching up on housework and admin 😴I managed a couple of relaxing hours reading in the afternoon.

Today we are going into town and then will visit mum after lunch.

I hope hollysteers and Marydoll are feeling better than they were.Thoughts with all unwell and struggling💐

Mick have you spoken to your medical team about your ongoing problems.Might be worth getting some advice.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Good morning Mick and Roses - another dry day promised here in north Wales, maybe the last for a while though mustn’t grumble …😡

We had our Covid 💉yesterday and half expected to feel rough given GrannyGravy and others reports so a couple of G&Ts last night saw us right! Must read the info they issued to see if alcohol was allowed…🤦‍♀️

Dusting for me today, in the garage if you please! Mr PG forgot to cover the wine rack whilst using his angle grinder to cut slabs and all my bottles look as though they’re decades old! 😂

Will pop in later and catch up with all your doings x

Good morning from a dry Bristol. It looks dry after yesterday’s lovely sunshine.
Only three more days before the clocks change!
I was very tired after the frantic week in Spain so just did my laundry. I also spent quite a while removing labels from jars I’d been given before I went away.
As I’d been over fed in Spain, I ate very little, just squash soup for lunch and a mushroom omelette and salad for dinner. I made sure I drank gallons, having had my liquid intake reduced on tour…
Today, I’ve got tai chi and dinner at DD’s where we shall be swapping stories ; hers will be considerably more interesting than mine.
All the best to the sad and unwell. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from s somerset, mostly dry today

I was busy for the whole day yesterday but all productive stuff like sewing UFOs, sorting many circular knitting needles into pouches and so on. I ended up by doing the difficult start on another musselburgh hat while watching midsomer murders

My young christmas cactus needed re-potting so I did that, it has lots of buds on it, it looks content and that is one plant I definitely want to keep after getting rid of my three pretty but uninspiring chinese evergreen plants.

I intend to do a bit of sewing and then mostly knitting a jumper today, it is full of pattern and is a slow knit. Maybe also a walk but I want an easy relaxing day today

Have a good day

Morning Mick, morning All. Our corner of Somerset is dark and dry, a reasonable day forecast before rain arrives.

Covid jabs at a local pharmacy were accomplished easily. So far no unpleasant side effects. Came home via a coffee stop and a tip drop. Some steady very pleasing clearing continues. Caught up with this and that during the rest of the day before a thoroughly enjoyable two hours with our teenagers and their dad. Their lives are so complex and full we slot in where we can.

More catching up this morning for me. Mr C has a new puzzle to keep him occupied. Will head out after lunch, destination as yet undecided.

I need to dust our guest room and will think of you in the garage pant. The need feels very familiar and made me smile.

Have the best day you can everyone, hope Thursday is kind to us all.

Good morning from South Lanarkshire. It sounds quite breezy outside but I haven’t checked to see if there’s been rain.

I have a quiet day planned. I’ll make a large pot of chilli to take to DS’s house tomorrow but the rest of the day will be spent crocheting and listening to the radio or an audiobook.

Yarn group tonight, I always enjoy the chat while we work.

Wishing everyone a good day.

Good morning from Durham. Not sure what the weather is doing - it’s still dark.
Yesterday’s foray to the pumpkin farm went well - daylight robbery money wise, but it’s only once a year.
Unfortunately my cough is worse, tickle and dry, so I’ve postponed meeting a friend this morning. It’s never ending. I have Little Dog here, so I’ll take him out - quite deserted, so my coughing will disturb no-one.

I, too Mick think you should seek proper medical advise, rather than self diagnosing and trying to sort your health out yourself.

Nice to have one of MaryD’s novellas, I could sense her frustration! It must be hard to stay on the positive side, when faced with such health problems.

Best wishes to all. X

Good morning from Malta where we expect 26°C today.

Went to the park yesterday with DD3 and the boys so enjoyed that. (See pic!)

This morning I’m meeting an old friend for coffee. Even though we live on this small island it is ages since we have managed to meet up.

Wishing you all a good day.☀️

harrigran Thu 24-Oct-24 07:10:47

Good morning from a dry NE where it is still dark.
Aerial man came yesterday and when we turned the TVs on the reception was fine, the picture was not pixilated nor did it show no signal. I have had trouble with reception since July. He said he would get his ladders and check the aerial but a neighbour had parked on the pavement at my gable end and he could not get access. The call out was an expensive waste of time.
Today will be a quiet day with my book.
Have a good day.

Redcar Thu 24-Oct-24 07:13:47

Good morning everyone from Essex, 7 degrees outside according to the garden thermometer and clear sky so far! A sunny day is forecast I think, so I’ll continue with trying to tidy the garden.
I did a load of washing yesterday and got it mostly dry outside, so will need to do some ironing today. Also need to do some admin - boring!
Have the best day possible everyone.

kittylester Thu 24-Oct-24 07:16:16

Good morning all from a cool feeling North Leicestershire. I have the blind on the velux open but it is still dark.

Our garden is coming today after a few false starts - illness, weather, grandchildren - and I have admin to do. Sainsbury's delivery at teatime.

Have the best day possible everyone.

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Thu 24-Oct-24 07:17:01

Good morning everyone from south Manchester. I think it’s raining but the wooden blinds are closed as Himself is still snoozing beside me. I’m off to be with the Boy Wonder again today. To be honest I hardly see him he’s on his PlayStation in his bedroom chatting and playing with his mates. He only comes down to eat his lunch!

On my way home mid afternoon I’ll call in at the bookshop to pick up four books I’ve ordered (two are Christmas presents for L’il Miss). The owner is retiring and has sold the shop on apparently. She herself ceases trading this Saturday. She tells me a local lady has bought it. I’m so glad we’re not losing the only independent bookshop we have here. Phew!

Ashcombe Thu 24-Oct-24 07:25:37

Good morning from a dry Torbay with a windy day forecast.

After nearly a week of hibernation with a horrid cold, I ventured out to a couple of gatherings at the theatre. Wednesday Club then a rehearsal in the evening. This was rather unstructured and rumbled on for three hours!

A day at home today, mainly because the fire alarms are being inspected so I need to be in for mine and to hold keys for two neighbours.

Hope today is kind to all, especially those who are unwell such as Marydoll and hollysteers. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

BlueSapphire Thu 24-Oct-24 07:25:53

Good morning everyone from a still dark Northampton; Alexa says it will be a fine dry sunny day. Hair appointment this morning which is why I'm up earlier!

Got most of my jobs done yesterday, except for hoovering upstairs, which will have to wait . Instead I got the front grass cut and all the leaves cleared from the drive, which filled a wheelie bin.

Sainsbury's delivery this afternoon, and planning on cutting the back grass.
Fish and home-made chunky oven chips for dinner tonight.

Have a pleasant day everyone.

Bonnybanko Thu 24-Oct-24 07:32:57

Good morning from a dark and windy east coast of Fife. I’m still in bed but I’ve looked out from my ring doorbell,

it’s getting colder and colder each morning
I had the most wonderful afternoon yesterday with my 2 gc and my gorgeous dd. I’ll be resting up today apart from planing my next social outing

Have a good day my friends I’m going back to sleep

GrannyIvy Thu 24-Oct-24 07:45:19

Good morning from Cambridgeshire. It is 8 degrees but forecast a sunny 17 degrees today. I’m hoping I will feel well enough to get out and do those gardening jobs later. Our colds are lingering on … I won’t get to Pilates today 🙈

The gasman is coming to service the boiler and the man from the Council is coming to inspect a very large leylandi tree that is actually in our neighbours garden but causes us lots of problems! Our neighbour is currently refusing to have it cut back or cut down. It has been an annoyance for years. As it is now part of a large hedge and a change to guidelines of what is acceptable we may have some rights. Keeping our fingers crossed.

Happy Thursday to all.

brook2704 Thu 24-Oct-24 07:46:54

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s dry but looks quite windy
Pleased you’re out and about again Ash take care
DGS stayed last night for a sleepover, we’re taking him home at lunchtime and then picking DGD up as she’s staying tonight
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Marydoll Thu 24-Oct-24 07:51:47

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow where it is 11°C and very dark.
A restless night means, I have awoken with a headache.

A sedentary day yesterday, attempting to set up Mr MD's
new phone. It took hours, due to his lordship's failure to co-operate and take advice. I will not bore you with a novella, but here are two examples, two of many:

I insisted that he ensure both phones were fully charged, before we started. Were they, of course not! I foolishly assumed that he had done so. The transfer failed half way, the battery was flat on his old one.

He needed his Microsoft password, but offered me three different ones. Now anyone, who has had to change a Microsoft password will know that if you change it, it impacts on all sorts of things. Of course it was Microsoft's fault.😉

I could feel my chest getting tighter with the sheer frustration of it all.

All joking aside, I have noticed changes in DH's behaviour recently. Feelings of deja vu, relating to both my parents and MIL. There are subtle changes and his memory is definitely failing. If I try to broach the subject, he gets angry.

We have Babydoll today. I haven't been able to look after her recently. DH is in charge, but can he be trusted?
He will take her a walk to the farm ten minutes away, where there are three horses in the field and I will rest. I hope the large, black bull in the field behaves himself in front of her. 😉

Mick, no more procrastinating. You need to speak to your medical team and get checked out. Given your medical history, you are being very foolish. I understand that you may be worried, posters are very concerned about you.

Grannyivy, I was so sad to read about your DGD. Young girls can be so cruel. I despise bullies. I hope things improve.

Best wishes to all, especially the poorlies.

Greyduster Thu 24-Oct-24 07:57:00

Good morning Michael and all GNs from a rather grey South Yorkshire but it is dry. Writers group was good fun yesterday. We all had something new to put on the table. I bought myself a new fairisle sweater while I was out. Came home and cooked a steak and dauphinois potatoes for my tea. Don’t eat steak very often but enjoyed the treat. DS rang for a chat in the evening and I phoned a friend to arrange to meet her next week.
Walking this morning. I expect there’ll be mud. Then lunch with DD and GS who will be at home today.
Have the best day you can folks.

Jaxjacky Thu 24-Oct-24 07:59:19

Morning from a bright S Hants, my daughter has been offered a new job after interview on Tuesday, happy for her. Bed stripped, it’s forecast sun today so it should dry, MrJ’s car is having its MOT 🤞.

luluaugust Thu 24-Oct-24 08:00:27

Good morning from a bright W Kent. Another day with DGS5. Our sandwich out was a success on Tuesday so I think maybe fish and chips today. DH still has a slightly black eye and is a bit reluctant to be seen in public!
Best wishes to all feeling unwell or worried

Ladyleftfieldlover Thu 24-Oct-24 08:00:43

Morning all from West Oxfordshire.

OH and I might be going to look at cars today for me! He has a big 4x4 so he can fit his shooting stuff and bee equipment in it. I have a little city car which is on its last legs! I might get something the same or maybe something different.

OH needs to finish his woodpecker guards for his bee hives. I’m not sure when that’s happening. Because of the medication he takes he can’t really get going until late morning/after lunch. It’s frustrating for him, but there we are.

I think I mentioned yesterday that my brother in Australia has medical problems again. He told me the other day that the first thing he thinks of when he wakes in the morning is when he can go back to bed!

Have a good day everyone. Onwards and upwards as ‘they’ say.

Grammaretto Thu 24-Oct-24 08:03:08

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where it is 11° .

Yoga this morning and the gas man is delivering gas for my pottery firings.

After lunch the 2 smallest DGC are coming here to play. What with 2 weeks half term and 2 weeks school strike action, DD is needing some respite.
I hope that Marydoll and Hollysteers have better days and that everyone has some joy today.
