Anyone else think it's too tight even for her figure?

Looks elegant on Clare Sweeney and completely different on
Carol Vorderman. In general do not like the clothes she wears, seems her role in life is to flaunt her figure but lets face it she has a lovely hour glass figure and it's up to her what she wears. This is a lot more subtle than some of the things she wears.

I'm not a fan of hers at all but I like the dress, it's lovely and I think it suits her.

At least she's actually wearing it, unlike some people that walk around in public in barely anything!

Yes!

i wish there was a box where we could tick up or down - i'd certainly tick up here...

I think she looked great but canโ€™t help wondering what she had on underneath!

Each to their own! Wouldn't be the best look if me & with her looks, I'm just old fashioned & spent yrs wearing styles to make behind look smaller!! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜ now you pay a lot of money for that! ๐Ÿค” I wonder if large stuck out bottoms will go back out of fashion!?
....๐Ÿค” in the 'bustle' age was it for same image?

Carol Vorderman is a wonderful, intelligent and independent woman.
How she dresses, and what cosmetic surgery is her business.

It never ceases to amaze me the number of women who go out of their way to criticise other women for the way they look, and how they dress.
Women are being sidelined out of our lives, our work, our sports, and our spaces; we should be standing shoulder to shoulder.

Hardly going out of our way, this thread invites our thoughts on a dress worn by a well known woman in public.
I like the dress and how Carol looks but defend anyoneโ€™s right to think the opposite and to criticise. This goes for Angela Rayner and her trouser suit as well, which I thought was awful.
All this โ€˜sisterโ€™ stuff is silly.Iโ€™m equally happy to like or to critique what any man in the public eye is wearing.

It was exactly the same, the bustle emphasised the behind๐Ÿ˜„

The photos I saw it looked really crinkled up which suggests slightly too tight. Maybe she needed to have a big poo

Charming!

She has ruined her natural good looks with all that cosmetic surgery . Did anyone see her on I've got news for you she could barely talk and her laugh sounded like a donkey.

I haven't seen any crinkly photos.
Do you have a link please?
Thank you.

I agree, she just looks so artificial!

That she is a bright and clever lady, and a great presenter is not in dispute, she also spoke eloquently and supportingly about the menopause and was much appreciated.

Who needs the criticism of men when other women are always there to do the job. Isnโ€™t it time we stopped having a go at other women based on their appearance?

Oreo Sat 26-Oct-24 13:22:51

No

Oreo Sat 26-Oct-24 13:23:42

We can also have a go at the appearance of men๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Fae1 Sat 26-Oct-24 13:33:29

Was never a fan of hers or her clothes or her figure. Nuff said!

Galaxy Sat 26-Oct-24 13:36:20

I dont care about her dress.
I think its fine to discuss plastic surgery though. That's an issue that impacts women in particular, sometimes you have to cause some offense in order to be able to analyse its negative impact on women and girls.

Leaving Carol Vorderman aside, I get a bit miffed that most of the focus at these events is on what the presenters are wearing.
I couldnโ€™t believe that Good Morning Britain sent around five of its presenters parading in front of the cameras in their posh frocks alongside Richard Madelely just to present one award, surely the focus should be more on the brave and deserving recipients not on the fancy outfits of the presenters.
Rant over!

Her phone in on LBC was great! Such a pity sheโ€™s stopped for health reasons. Sheโ€™s not afraid to speak her mind, and she has an excellent mind. Donโ€™t care what she wears as long as sheโ€™s happy.

Absolutely correct. I hardly noticed what the presenters wore because the winners were the stars of the show.

Thought she looked awful, and her hair looked a real mess
Neither suited her, sheโ€™s gone to pot, shame used to like her
And she was quite a good looking woman.
