It used to be called St. Martin's summer - the October burst of sunshine and warmth. It shortens the Winter until, hopefully, a nice sunny March.

After dull, murky starts here in Durham, since Tuesday, we’ve had glorious sunny and warm afternoons. I’m about to take my jumper off and believe me, I’m a cold body!

Walked along the seafront in N Norfolk yesterday in glorious sunshine. Quite a few swimming. Not me though!

Not where I am (outer SW London, where we have thick white cloud) ) but on the Gower peninsula, where dd and friends/family have gone for a long weekend. Clear blue skies, relatively warm, children (wet suited) all in the sea!
