Amazing weather for U.K. late October!

Walked along the seafront in N Norfolk yesterday in glorious sunshine. Quite a few swimming. Not me though!

After dull, murky starts here in Durham, since Tuesday, we’ve had glorious sunny and warm afternoons. I’m about to take my jumper off and believe me, I’m a cold body!

Clear blue skies here in the north-west for the last few days too and no need for a coat when walking the dog. 😁

Dull, overcast and chilly in East Surrey.

Ooh I have never heard of that phrase, we always called it an “Indian Summer”

Mild and misty, much warmer than usual at this time of year.

You have been busy sweeping up leaves, just done 6 bagful today and doesn’t look like I have done anything!

Sadly far from finished yet Tizliz. The ‘main’ fall still to come and my garden bin (only emptied on Thursday) is already full.
In past years, after the last bin collection, the leaves are kept in bin bags over Winter and the first few collection of next year will just be a bit of mown grass and leaves. I wouldn’t care, but the main culprit at the top of the garden isn’t mine!

Yes, it’s yet another warm, sunny day here in Carlisle. Clear overnight so a bit nippy first thing but it soon warms up.
I have just come in from the garden and had to strip off a layer and I’m another chilly soul.
Love the feeling of very warm sun on my skin. This late spell really sets you up for the darker chillier weeks to come.

There have been a few mild-ish days in Argyll. Tomorrow is forecast to be chillier. The usual ultra-changeable weather then, for us. Sadly too wet to do any gardening today.

I took a couple of weeks annual leave in late September/early October and was quite lucky with a spate of nice weather. That is, not wet!

Can't complain. The weather is what one would expect in a temperate rainforest zone. We get very few extremes of temperature, masses of rain, and a good number of breezy days.

Actually, amend that to no extremes of temperature.

It’s been grey, miserable and dismal all day here.

21c here yesterday and 18c today. Really lovely.
Haven’t worn a coat since about April.

Know the feeling. The 8’ wall round most of the garden traps all the leaves from the farm next door.

Beautiful day here in SWWales. The sun was up early and we took a walk to the sea. The sea was glittering. Superb. We saw two cormorants, and egret and the jackdaws were going mad in the trees. I believe it is going to be lovely tomorrow also
