Watching some rugby on tv. I love the New Zealand national anthem and the Māori Haka they do before the matches. Another lovely one is the Welsh one , O land of My Fathers. I think the Australian one isn’t that good,I would have preferred ‘ We are One,but we are Many’ or something like that. I think the British one needs updating because it is just about one person, not the nation but that is their choice I suppose.
Have you a favourite anthem ( Flower of Scotland isn’t too shabby, either) ?

I think we should definitely have an anthem for sporting events that at least raises some emotion and passion. The Marseillaise does that and is my favourite

Oh dear!Only. ZEALOTS want to live in independent countries? So England will be happy to hand control over to any other country that can sort out their mess?
Independence is NORMAL ask anyone from any country worldwide who has always been independent or the 60+ countries who have already gained Independence from England.Oh wait ….didnt England vote to be independent of the EU ? That’s the EU that only had minimal control over some laws .WM has now taken over control of our police force thanks to Allister Jack .ALL the top jobs are now held by English or NI trained police.SCOTLAND has a different system of law so how does this work?

Paddyann54
Talk to the people who didn’t vote when they had the chance, or the ones you think voted the wrong way
England didn’t have chance to vote, which may or may not have boosted your cause.

Not quite, PaddyAnn Zealots just campaign so zealously and so insensitively that the effect is to turn neutral listeners into confirmed and exasperated opponents.
