Good morning everyone from Inverness, it’s nice and bright now early on but I’m not looking forward to the dark evenings.
So sad about the little dog stilllearning sending hugs
I’m looking forward to our regular Sunday morning video call with DS soon, good to catch up on all his news. Later I’m calling into DD2s, she’s got a couple of house viewings tomorrow so there’s a bit more tidying to help with - I’m not holding out much hope for the house viewings though especially at this time of year. DH is going to help tidy the garden as there’s such a lot of leaves down. When we’ve finished there we’ll be back home for a rest
Goodness that’s a long day Ash hope all goes well today
Thinking of everwitg worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Good Morning Sunday 27th October 2024
(45 Posts)Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but is also dry this morning in brackley .
Today will be spent at home , plenty to do .
Health front slowly improving .
Take Care,
Mick
Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny but chilly Carlisle.
What a long night it was! I went to bed at my usual BST time but was awake in the early hours so listened to one of my audio books, an Obama memoir. After listening intently to a couple of chapters, I finally fell asleep only to dream Obamas! An extra hour in bed is nothing to me, I knew there wouldn't be an extra hour's sleep.
Yesterday afternoon I was out in the garden and planted 2 holly bushes in place of my deceased yew. Today I may go out and start a tidy up of my fruit and veg border and put in some tulip bulbs at the back of it. Apart from that it will be a reading day and a putting away of the rest of my summer clothes now that they've been on holiday. Not looking forward to the early dark....
Have the best possible day everyone.
Good morning everybody from south Manchester where it’s damp but sunny. It rained hard in the night (best time keep it up please). Alexa tell its 4°C rising to 12°C later.
We slept in and then put the clocks back to 7:30am! Himself is off to watch the Boy Wonder playing ⚽️ later then this afternoon we are meeting my stepfather for lunch out. Another Italian but only here in Urmston and not as Fancy Dan as the one we went to with friends yesterday.
After we’ve dropped him off home we are babysitting so all in all a busy day for us!
Good morning all from North Leicestershire
Most of our clocks change themselves but the ones that don't are the ones most awkwardly placed for changing.
We had a great time with DGD1 last night. We went for a curry at the pub over the road. She can talk for England and is a pleasure to have around and we are grateful that she fits us into her busy schedule. I have to have her back to Derby by lunch time. DH is off to watch DGS4 play football.
Chicken Supremes in a creamy sauce eventually.
Good morning from a cool but sunny NE.
Remembered to change the clocks and did the microwave one before bed but left both my ovens for this morning, they are really fiddly.
DS and GD2 are coming this afternoon, looking forward to hearing how last weekend went, they spent time with GD1 in Leeds after delivering more of her stuff to her accommodation.
Have a good day.
Good morning from N.Bucks where it is looking bright. Hopefully we will spend a couple of hours pottering in the garden.
About to have breakfast and then pop a curry in the slow cooker.
Thinking of those who are poorly or worried.
A good day wished for all.
Good to hear you’re out and about hollysteers 🙂
Yes, real progress there hollysteers I’m so glad for you. I’m sure now you’re getting mobile your weight will increase soon too. 🤞
Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞Northampton. Unusually pleased to have the extra hour as I am going to the cinema at lunchtime, and it gives me the extra time to get a few things done before I go. Thank goodness the clock change never affects me.
Had a good day yesterday over at Rushden Lakes; had lunch and
at an Italian restaurant and then to the shops. Got a lovely handbag in Accessorise for DGD1's birthday, then to M&S where I managed to spend my vouchers - a beautiful candle for DD-outlaw's birthday and a cosy hooded sweater for me.
Sausage butty for breakfast soon then a few.things to do before I head out to the cinema late morning. Going to see 'The Room Next Door', starring Tilda Swinton and Julianne Moore. Thought it looked my sort of film. Will be out of the Filmhouse by 3pm so a quick look at the shops and our newly refurbished market square then the bus home.
Steak and baked potato for dinner tonight.
Have a pleasant Sunday everyone.
Good Morning everyone, lovely and sunny, enjoy the extra hour and have a great day.
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. I think my body clock has given me an extra 2 hours. I couldn't have set it properly.
I am so sorry about your DD's dog Stilllearning.
DS's wee dachshund was at the vet yesterday, very sick having drunk from a dirty puddle.
DGD was very sick on and off the bus yesterday when I took them out for an "adventure" I must check how she is today.
I hope today is quieter.
Nosferatu at the cinema tonight to look forward to.
Glad you are on the mend hollysteers
Thinking of all of you with worries and troubles.
You always manage to fill your days well and give yourself an interesting time BlueSapphire. Kudos to you dear lady.
Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where it is only 7°C.
I have no plans for today, just resting. I still feel a bit strange heartwise. A few alterations to do, so that should keep me sitting down!
DH got both his vaccinations yesterday and believes he may be on his way out! He doesn't do illness very well.
Yesterday I said I would drive him, in case he felt unwell. He then got into his own car, defeating the purpose of me driving! 😤
I'm really worried about DS 1, who is beginning to show similar health issues to mine. He needs to get bloods done to start the process of a diagnosis.😪
Last night, my friend from church messaged to say that his wife, who has had a transplant, was rushed to hospital. Only last week, the doctors told her she was doing well. I am really upset by the news.
We had a long talk last week about how a partner's chronic illness impacts on a marriage and the unfairness of it all. I became quite tearful, because it made me realise how difficult and restricted life must be for Mr MD. 😪 😍
Best wishes to all the poorlies 💐 and those who are struggling. I am always afraid I will miss someone out.
Good morning, a late one from me in sunny Cambridgeshire. I’m another one who hates the clock change and it puts me out for a couple of days. Some clocks change automatically but some need attention.
Like many others on this thread the cold bug lingers and nights are disturbed by endless coughing so I am having a lie in but DH is chomping at the bit wanting to go out for a walk together to blow those cold germs away.
Other than a walk a quiet day pottering lots of jobs to catch up on in house and garden. Planning a slow cooked lamb shoulder roast later.
Hope everyone has a happy Sunday
MD I’m sad things are so difficult for you and fingers crossed for your DS and your friend’s wife.
Thinking of all those struggling 💐sending my very best wishes x
Good morning all. Looks nice and sunny out there on Severnside.
I ironed a big pile for me of clothes yesterday. Have two loads of washing to do today. I’m making the most of the breeze.
I hope to finish off clearing the greenhouse of tomato plants, cut some shrubs and do a bit of general tidying up outside today. I’ve changed two clocks. The rest will get done later or in the coming days. I think it’s only my car, phone and iPad that always tell the correct time. The others are somewhere near enough. I don’t bother to change the outside clock as I’m not outside so much in the winter.
Enjoy your day 🌻
Morning from a sunny Glasgow!
I had a nice day wandering in town yesterday while DH watched the football.
Unfortunately the rain started just as I headed for the bus and so by the time I arrived home I was ‘drookit’
Off to church shortly to catch up with God and the gossip! 😜
Hope all with worries have the best day they can .

Grannyivy, you are so kind, Please don't be sad for me, I have accepted that I can't change anything. I'm just annoyed and frustrated at not being able to do things.
There are posters on GN, who are lonely and suffering so much. They are not as fortunate as me.
I'm just upset for my friend and his wife and feeling extremely guilty that my son has inherited a defective gene from me, which is causing his health difficulties.
I am blessed in that I have my family near me and my two beautiful granddaughters.
Just married, I was told that I would never be strong enough to work, nor have children.
Well my clinicians got that wrong. 😂
Your consultants plainly didn’t factor in sheer determination, Marhdoll, and they obviouslly didn’t know you!
