I first knew that my then boyfriend was serious about me when he bought me an automatic washing machine. Before that we'd had to spend Sunday afternoons in the launderette!
I'm pretty sure that my washer is my favourite thing, closely followed by my dishwasher and my air fryer.

Washing machine, followed closely by the dishwasher.
I bought a dishwasher after singing abroad and said to my DH I preferred the sound of it rumbling away to any symphony I had heard😁

I could manage without a dishwasher, but would hate to have to hand wash sheets and towels, or jeans come to that. I hand wash hand knits though.

After that, probably the Magimix. I use it a lot and it saves so much time chopping and slicing.

I agree, the washing machine.
Especially when there were six of us to wash for.

My first one was a twin tub which needed far more attention but better than a dolly tub.

Dishwasher followed closely by washing machine.
I'd gladly give away
my tv and iron

Ooh no! not the launderette, unless it was collected and returned all ironed and ready to go. I can and do cope without a dishwasher very well.
Quite fond of the vacuum too.it makes such a difference when the rest of the house is going to hell in a handcart.

I completely agree with the OP - it’s the washing machine. I can well remember Monday being washday all day long. I remember standing in the yard for hours feeding sheets through the mangle trying not to get your fingers nipped in the rollers, and then the smell of damp washing hanging on the wooden airer hoisted up on the kitchen.
We thought we were the bees knees when we got a twin tub !
Whoever invented the washing machine should be made a saint !

Dishwasher as well.
Thankfully, DH was of the same persuasion as me when we got married.
Neither of us can abide washing dishes.

I didnt realise it has rubbed off on a son as well. He rents. Him and his wife wont rent somewhere that doesnt have a dishawasher.

The dishwasher. I have just made 5lb of mince into chilli for the freezer. Can't imagine what the kitchen would look like if I couldn't hide the pots, pans etc in there.

I could take the washing to the laundrette!

The beloved spaniel has just walked mucky paws all over my bed, changed bed, hurled bedding into washing machine, sat with mug of soup, can hear the machine working away, and thought how absolutely wonderful a washing machine is. What’s your favourite thing in your home, obvs other than family!
