The use of Wikipedia as a primary source of information was not allowed in my school.

One of the reasons given was, as a user-generated source, it can be edited by anyone at any time, and any information it contains at a particular time could be vandalism, a work in progress, or simply incorrect.

For those reasons, I hardly ever use it, there are more accurate sources to be found.

I do donate, but I don't 100% trust everything on there exactly for the reason Marydoll states, but it's a very useful starting point.

I use it all the time and donate £2 every month. It’s not a lot but I hope other people do as well.

I donate when asked as I use Wiki quite a bit. I use it mainly for trivial information like; "Was the actor I just saw in a TV series in Grange Hill as a child?"

For more serious stuff I would seek source material.

OH donates every now and again. We don’t donate to the Guardian as we buy the actual newspaper.
