Mt61 - I’ve got one!! Nor really mine and I’ll re-tell the story, with apologies to the GN’s who’ve heard it before.
In 1976, I went down with a mystery illness. I was off work for months and lost 3 stones in weight. I was so ill, DH used to drive home at lunchtime to make me a drink - we’d tried a flask, but I wasn’t strong enough to get the lid off!
DH came up with the bright idea of asking his parents to lend us their Goblin Teasmaid. His Dad said ‘yes, of course’ but his (evil woman) Mum refused. So, when she died and we emptied out the house, I took the Teasmaid. I’ve never used it and it’s been up on a shelf in the garage for 25 years and when it occasionally catches my eye, I smile and say ‘well Aileen, who’s got your bloody Teasmaid now?’
I love this!!!
