What’s your pet hate

People who gossip - evil people - this can cause so much damage. Also jealousy, can't bear jealous people and people who are mean, that is those who know how to put money in their purse but seem to forget how to take it out when it comes to paying their share.

Hate shopping full stop, also the people in cars who pass by my house and throw out beer cans(!!!), sandwich wrappers crisp packets on the verge for me to pick up later. A more recent hate is hearing so many presenters not pronounce the "ing" at the end of words as in "endin" instead of "ending".

At the swimming pool, people who stand at one end and just have conversations with each other, and are in the way when others are touching the edge to do a turn. Or they swim along side by side talking and make it difficult to swim round them. Personally when I go swimming it's just to swim. Talking you can do when you get out.

One of my hates: strangers within 2 arm lengths of me, talking at me.

It isn't just escalators, there is a certain type of woman who will just stand still chatting with her friends and stop anyone getting through - it can be footpaths, doorways, corridors - it just doesn't occcur to them to move out of everybody's way.

I'm with you on this one! So many times on trains I have to stop myself passing the sniffer a tissue aargh!

I have been known to pass people tissues, most refuse them or simply go on sniffing anyway.

Queue jumpers.

I really don't think people really queue much any longer, except at shopping tills. It really annoys me.
Our bus stops are just a free-for-all, I take my grandchildren to school and have to make sure I'm holding their hands when we get on so that nobody gets left behind.

Litter and fly tipping.A blight on our country.How hard is it to find a bin or take your rubbish home?!

I’m another who prefers shopping solo. I don’t mind shopping with my DD who’s very honest and knows what I like . I find if I shop with friends I end up returning stuff . However it’s not a pet hate .
My pet hates are smokers , litter louts ( I’m on a litter picking group ) . Rude people , bullies, aggressive drivers in big 4x4s SUVs , who think they have right of way and barge through , even when I have right of way. I have a small hatchback and it happens so often !!!

People who jog round the park leaving trails of pungent smells. Why? And what is it? Hairspray? Deodorant? Shower gell? Can ruin the walk which should smell of lovely rotting leaves at this time of year.
Loads of other hates but this one came up first.

Reading these posts makes me feel a most intolerant person - I could so easily screech 'ALL OF THE ABOVE'. Except the women talking with silly girly voices - 'haven't heard that, but most likely I would hate that too...

I never go shopping with anyone regardless what I wish to purchase.

I enjoy browsing and purchasing at my favourite supermarkets, specialty shops and also Zara, my favourite fashion shop(s) ..

1) People who are racists ..

2) Slobs who do not take care of themselves regardless of age.

Hate shopping of any kind.
People who don’t pick up after their dogs and/or who think “Dogs must be on leads” doesn’t apply to their dog. I love dogs by the way and don’t blame them for the above.

Also trying to read best before dates and trying to open certain lipsticks in particular that seem to be wrapped so tightly from top to bottom with awful cellophane when opened your fingers are sticky

So I'm not the only one who prefers to shop alone .
I don't like shopping anyway - unless it's for plants or books .
Nothing is more irritating than being told what I like or what I should wear .
The last time that I went clothes shopping with a friend - she drove me so crazy that I vowed never again . I had to go back into London to change my purchases .
The girls in the shop said that they knew that I'd be back and were relieved that they didn't have to listen to her medical history again !
A couple of weeks ago one of my friends tried to stop me when I wanted something savoury , because she wanted something sweet !
I enjoy going plant nurseries or to see a film with her -but eating out has become unenjoyable .
The older she gets -the more pedantic she's becoming .
It would be nice to sit in the car with her without listening to her constant criticisms of other people's driving or being stuck behind a learner .
Otherwise , I dislike bullies , rude people loud mouths , who swear...

Agree bluebelle I love to go shopping on my own. I also not impressed when people copy things that you buy clothes I mean, same thing same colour same style . Same hairstyle shoes etc copycats in general. Gossipers. Bad manners. Snobs, I could write a book on pet hates
