I've met many celebrities, including David Attenborough, Michael Caine, Tom Jone and best of all the all time 'love of my life' George Harrison. Many more. Some at book signings some not. My starstruck days have gone. The only exception might be Paul McCartney. I've seen him a few times but never to talk to. Not that I talked to George. He talked, I gawped.

I’d love to meet David Attenborough. David Jason. Helen Mirren I’m sure they would have many tales to tell. But as far as wanting to meet any gransnetters not really. I have met two from mumsnet though and we have been friends for several years

I've always said I'm not dazzled by celebrity, I wouldn't recognise one if I fell over them in the street but my son and I were walking from King's Cross station and called in for lunch at the café/restaurant opposite Central St. Martin's College and, who should walk through but Esme Young! Hardly surprising, since she teaches at the college but I kind of squeaked, grabbed my son's arm and went, "It's Esme!"

I do sew and make my own clothes. That's my excuse for being star struck. So, I'll join the Esme Young party if I'm welcome...

Im not into the celebrity culture but I would like to meet Queen Camilla abnd Princess Anne. The latter I admire for her no nonsense "say it like you mean" it approach and the way she just gets on with things.

I would like to meet GSM but unfortunately she was banned in a way that has never been explained by the management.

I'd like to meet ...

One of the founders of the SAS, I don't know his name but he recently turned 100.

I don’t have any desire to meet celebrities. I don’t find most of them interesting. I’d like to meet up with my sister again, but I know that’s impossible due to her mental health issues. I like meeting up with my friends and family, those are the most important people to me (and I’m sure to all of you too.)

I’m going to stick my neck out.

I actually have no desire to meet anyone on GN in real life.

The beauty of this site is you can chat to others, discuss things, disagree, (courteously I hope).

Some posters you take to, some you don’t.

You can picture what they look and sound like, but for me, that’s sufficient.

They are like pen friends who you never meet up with.

My view only, and if others like meet ups and getting more involved, that’s fine.

It’s so very difficult to name Gransnetters I’d like to meet, because there are so many. I haven’t met any Gransnetters except one, and that was a long time ago, and she hasn’t been on GN for several years now, and I’m no longer in touch with her.

I think there are more, I’ll come back later. There are so many kind, compassionate posters on GN. I have similar views to those I’ve named, but not necessarily on everything. It’s about life experiences that I’ve read about from those posters, and about their views. I’m right of centre too, but it’s not about views for me so much, it’s about the way things are expressed. I may not agree with someone necessarily, but if they express themselves kindly, then I’m more likely to read with understanding.

Well being “right of centre”I don’t expect anyone to want to meet me ha. Think most GN Posters are to the left- but I like having other discussions on all topics really. I have learnt so much about life in general on here 😊
