......won any sort of competition, say, from a magazine, or television programme. When I was undergoing chemo, I used to keep myself busy with, mainly, magazine competitions but also entering the draws on Real Deal, Countryfile, etc and, just occasionally on Omaze.

I know I can look up the winners, but wondered if any Gransnetters had had a win.

I won a book on radio Kent for identifying a sound played for a few seconds. I think it was something like a lawnmower.

I won a hamper one Christmas at the library. Nothing in magazines though. £1000 at the bingo once. I was in shock for hours!

Some years ago I won, In Three weeks, a CD, theatre tickets and a holiday from a weekly paper. Two years ago I won an Antarctic cruise for two from The Times. DH enters a competition in The Times every Sunday and has done so for 15 years and is still waiting for a win.

I won £1500 in a crossword competition 14 years ago. Have also won books, DVDs, toys - although nothing for last couple of years.
