Table covers...does anyone use these nowadays

Personally I use a vinyl table cover on my dining table as it's just my husband and I at home. Easy to wipe clean. If we have visitors and at Christmas I use a red Irish linen table cover. I've inherited some beautiful hand embroidered ones from my mum but I don't use them. One reason is that I don't want them ruined by food spills but on the other hand, I'm sad that they are put safely away in a box. I have 2 daughters and 3 grandaughters who don't use table covers. I have a dilemma now of what to do with them

Oh Notspaghetti, you have just described my Grandmother's big, old tablecloths on the parlour table exactly! 😊

I loved that chenille cloth Ilovedogs22 - and it's beautiful tassels. It was SO dark when you hid underneath!
