I love my iPad I play scrabble with others every night, I also like to do the jigsaw app I’ve loads of games on my iPad they get me through the night, my iPads been my best friend since my stroke and it keeps me in touch with others on FaceTime, I enjoy watching tv on it too.
I’m treating myself to an upgrade for my Christmas and why not cause I’m worth it 😁

I love my iPad too, it keeps me in touch with family and friends. I do jigsaws and the odd game. I also watch iPlayer and other catch up channels. Mines getting old now but it’s fine for now but I will eventually upgrade. I read too and it’s handy if I can’t sleep.

Totally agree. Love mine too. I bought a cheap one and was told I would regret that. 12 years and going strong. Like yourself, I really enjoy the mini jigsaw and a myriad of other advantages over and above the obvious tv, email etc.šŸ‘

I don’t blame you, I would be lost without my iPad. I do quordle, Wordle, sudoku, strands games and use the audible and kindle apps for books.

I watch television on it as our television is huge and with the iPad and ear buds I feel more immersed in the programme.

I don’t sleep well and use BBC sounds for radio 4 extra at night.

I search for recipes and also shopping, yes all of these things in one slim case, I would be lost without it.

Another iPad fan here.

Jigsaw app, Solitaire, Sudoko, Candy Crush, Library App (borrow books and read magazines and newspapers) and of course GN, it is always linked to my Kindle.

I do all my online shopping on it as I find it quicker than my laptop.

I have had one for over 12 years and would be lost without it.

Have you tried Two Words by Suzy Dent?
I've found it recently and am addicted.

Jane43 Thu 05-Dec-24 08:53:15

On my iPad I used to do Candy Crush but as I advanced I found it frustrating to stay on one level for days so I deleted it. I do a Soduku every day and I have a matching art puzzle, a maths game a word game and lots of matching games. I do get frustrated by the constant ads on some of them though.

Someone on here recommended Microsoft Wordament.
If you enjoy word games, it’s very good and quite easy.

www.bigfishgames.com/daily/big-fish-game-finder-app/

This is a very good site to trial hundreds of games for free. Which you can go on to purchase if you so wish.

I've been playing games on there for years. But I have a windows laptop but you can use on any device.

I love the Hidden Object games on there. Especially the Christmas ones at this time of year.

This is the link I use as I play the PC versions.

I’d hate to be without mine, even though I replaced my original with a mini. Jigsaws, Microsoft word games, different versions of solitaire, and this year I have the i online-with a great range of puzzles after the news.

I also love my iPad, my favourite game is home design, no ads which I love,, have tried other games but the constant interruptions for ads is to much so I delete them.

Hardly ever use my iPad, prefer to use the laptop, should persevere and get used to it I suppose. Play Wordle and also Squaredle Express and sometimes the main Squaredle, find it really addictive especially the express version.

Solitaire, Words with Friends and a jigsaw app are my favourites, but I'll look for Two Words - thank you!

Have you tried Word Hunt? It’s one of the free games on Mail+.

I love doing online scrabble and jigsaws, would also be glad to know of any general knowledge quizzes that aren’t American.

I have a laptop that I use but I quite fancy getting an i-pad. I would be grateful for any recommendations of model and where to purchase from. Thank you.

I have Solitaire; Spider and Mahjong on the iPad. Great for sleepless nights .

I had my IPad for my 70th birthday, which I use everyday. It’s never far from my side. I will be 80 in two years and will need a new one by then. šŸ˜€

I play games every day. I like CW (Classic Words) which is scrabble against the computer.

I have been learning Spanish online for 5 years.

I watch Tennis around the world for 11 months of the year.

What’s not to like?

georgiejg Sun 08-Dec-24 22:20:41

I play wordle, words with friends (scrabble), quiz planet, solitaire and occasionally dip into other games but I soon get bored with the adverts.

Retired65- recently replaced my husband’s aging iPad, we always use John Lewis online for tech purchases, they are priced competitively and you generally get an extra year’s cover.
Also free delivery- useful as our nearest branch is a 2hr drive away!

I use my iPad all day long but have never played games on it. I don’t use my iPhone except for photographs as I can’t see it and fumble to ever touch the right keys.
A 90 year old friend told a technophobe neighbour, ā€˜look, I have the Encyclopaedia Brittanica in my hand.’

I love mine too I read a lot of books on it plus three different newspapers every day . I have a fancy Kindle but much prefer the I-Pad to read on as I like quite large print and you get more on each page than a kindle . Kindle is good for use when travelling though .
