Make sure your chainsaw is in the car

My Dh wouldn’t let me buy a chain saw from the Aisle of Weirdness in Aldi, even though I said it could come in handy. He also vetoed my desire to buy a pneumatic drill.

In these days of renewed council austerity, I’m sure both would be jolly useful tools to have! I could fix my own potholes and trim back all those overhanging branches.

We have a chain saw and have had one for years. We use it for cutting trees and cutting firewood. Ours is battery powered so is throughly portable.

I've got a long journey across the Blackdown Hills in Devon to pick up DH from a station on Saturday. I've told him to continue on the train to Exeter if the winds are really bad because the country roads are dire.

I have done my level best to secure my inherited old shed on my new allotment, bags of ballast draped over the roof, screwed the base to concrete slabs. I put slabs inside last week but added another two today, filled the water butts to the top by hand, from a dip and fill trough

My OH loves going out with his after any high winds to stock up his log sheds for our wood burner.
